In the history of bad super-hero costumes, I think the Joel Schumacher Batman and Robin Nipple designs have to take home the Oscar (pardon the pun). His fetishistic take on these iconic figures put a stake in the heart of the movie franchise, which made this product tie-in ad I found in one of the Great Random Comics Pile just about perfect:
Batman’s glare seems to be saying “Yes, I’m being called a fruit right here on this box, and because I have been given nipple armor (not shown), I am powerless to react. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. And Robin, if I’ve told you once I’ve told you a thousand times, get your left hand away from there!”

Many thanks to everyone who entered, I think this was probably the most challenging one to come up with something creative for so far. I think it was the mention of “Scrabble” that did it for me, I love that game. Other honorable mentions include:

We are pleased to announced that you can now download the full HeroMachine 2.5 application for use on your local computer, freeing you from needing an Internet connection (once it’s downloaded and installed the first time, of course). You can access the HeroMachine Desktop Edition 2.5 here. Be forewarned, the new version is literally twice the size of the old one, clocking in at almost 60MB.
This release is the culmination of a year of hard work, and we’re very proud to have it finished and in your hands. The Expansion features hundreds of new items and doubles the overall size of the application. We hope you enjoy using it as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together for you.
