Legwear

The push is clearly for doing legwear next, but looking at my list it appears all but the "Socks" from HM2.5 have already been converted. Which means I need suggestions for what else you would like to see in the Legwear slot, so let 'em rip in the comments.

As usual, please edit your requests -- spamming the entire contents of a Google Image search for "Pants" is not helpful. Only request items that are a) not already in the program, b) you would really want, and c) have some sort of wide appeal.

Suggestions with links to an image of what you are wanting are the most helpful, but if text is all you have that's fine too.

And thanks in advance for your input!

HM3: Modern Headgear update

I've just updated the Headgear-Modern set for HeroMachine 3 with the following nine items drawn from the last suggestion thread:

Thanks for the ideas everyone! I'm not 100% sure what to work on next, so I'm going to take the next couple of days to work on prize items. By all means, feel free to make suggestions in the comments as to what set of items you want worked on next. In essence I'm going through the list of 2.5 sets and converting those but as to which it ought to be, I'm open.

ETA: Actually there are a couple of others, like a coonskin cap, included as well. Just check it out, they're all at the end.

Poll Position: It is your father

Our Poll Position question this week may be late, but it's a doozy:

Discussion to follow! And you'll note I have made it possible for you to add your own possible answer here. If the past is any indication, this freedom will last for about an hour before someone submits something so egregiously out of order I have to close that part off. But we'll see.

Caption Contest 82

The person who can come up with the funniest replacement dialog for the following panel will win either any item they like, or a portrait, to be included in the final HeroMachine 3 application!

As usual, the rules are simple:

  • No limit on entries, but all entries must be made as a comment or comments to this post;
  • Keep it clean -- dialog should be appropriate for late-night broadcast television;
  • All entries are due by next Monday, when I'll pick a slate of finalists that the community at large will then vote on.

Thanks once again to Glenn3's "Say What Pictures" collection of blank dialog panels.

Character Contest 41 Winners!

I believe we had the most entries ever in a HeroMachine Character Design Contest this time around, but I've finally sifted through the excellent submissions, distilling the Finalists and our overall Winner for "Character Contest 41 - Art Martial"! Thanks to everyone who took the time to enter, I had a lot of fun looking through these.

Caption Contest 81 Winner!

The votes are in and you the readers have spoken -- the winner of Caption Contest 81 is Frankie!

This makes three pending contest prizes for Frankie, so I've given him the option of combining the item rewards into a custom black and white character illustration instead, if he wants. If I don't hear from you, Frankie, I'm going to assume you don't want any of the prizes and instead revert them to some sort of community-choice kind of thing.
