HEY! Now that you’ve figured it out, you might put in a recipe for the Mac users in the Tips & Tricks section.

You might try making the picture smaller before or after or a screen capture–I’m not Mac fluent, but I’m sure there must be a way. Free advice from a Google search? I learned how to screen capture on a site relating to my laptop.

I wonder what sort of chessboard King Red would play on. You don’t do many backgrounds, do you?

The only thing I can think of missing from the foreground is one of those prize belt things. Nice work on her. Looks formidable and dateable at the same time.

Do you export? I have, but usually do a screen capture with Windows Paint for easy custom cropping and saving as png.

. . . then you’re pretty well on track with style and tone. Straight informative prose can be like you already have it, or it can look like an RPG rollup sheet (a lot of people do that here.) The only style I haven’t seen used that is encouragable (which I explain I am when people call me incorrigible) is old newspaper article style. You know; summarize and then draw it out more with each new paragraph . . . it might be neat to see more than fake headlines like I make once in a while, but not many people read as enthusiastically as they click and stare.

“As time went on, Fox grew to be an integral part of the Fantasy Force, even to the point where even Shieldrush trusted her with his life.”

As time went on, Fox grew to be an integral part of the Fantasy Force, even to the point where (TAKE OUT EVEN) Shieldrush, one of the most cynical/skeptical/xenophobic members trusted her with his life.

Better to avoid repeating the same word by being more descriptive. You seem complete enough. I would have to know more specifics about your goals (intended audience, intended tone/style etc.) before I could do much more–your grammar and spelling are obviously okay. Smile

That dryad looks very promising. I would suggest that your innkeeper should probably have his left arm slightly backlit from the hearth. A small fire would be going in an inn’s fireplace even on a hot day in most climates. One yellow or orange spherical gradient would be enough.

Doing myself as an actual knight proved to be impossible. I had to do something analogous on my own thread with lots of text. Looking forward to yours.

Caught a misspelling on your cover: chivalry. Great poster, though–I’d want to see the movie.

Identity theft and vehicle identification fraud can lead to being ‘misprofiled.’

At an art gallery downtown, occasionally there is a break-in. All the would-be art thieves or vandals die of odd wounds and paralytic neurotoxin before security can ever reach them. “The Jellyfish” once left a note to one of the older security guards, claiming that his “translucency suit had a fault and the welts on the miscreants would stink more.” The tone of the note was apologetic. Staff have been rotated twice without a noticeable change in the vigilante’s actions.

The footage hasn’t been much help either.

Hey, man! Post 144, above–you said you didn’t know what to add? It would be a lot of work, but maybe a labyrinth background.

HK’s guide should work for humans. I’m not so great at humans, but if you want to age some non-mammalian aliens just let me know. I can tell you a few things.
