Apologies once again for being so late with the winners of Caption Contest 118, but here they are at last!
There were a lot of "who let the dogs out" sorts of entries, but I just felt like it was too obvious. I'm weird about my comedy.
I liked all of those Finalists very much, but being only able to pick one, I had to go with ... Frankie!
Congratulations, Frankie!

Your challenge this week is to come up with the best replacement dialog for this comics panel (which comes to us courtesy of the always awesome Glenn3's "Say What?" PhotoBucket site):
The best entry (as judged by yours truly) wins the author's choice of either any item they like or any portrait to be included in HeroMachine 3â˛s final release, or a custom black and white âSketch of the Dayâ style illustration (you pick the subject, I draw it however I like).
All entries must be left as a comment (or comments) to this post. Keep âem clean (appropriate for a late-night broadcast TV show), but most importantly, keep âem funny!
No limit to entries, but please, self-edit and only put up ones you genuinely think are funny!

As you can see I am unfortunately pressed for time today, with the traveling and the day job. But I have gone through the wonderful entries for Character Contest 83 and have put our Finalists after the jump. I don't have my usual commentary, but you can hover over each image to see who drew it, and click on it to see it at full size.

Next up in our Seven Deadly Sins series of character design contests is Lust!
Your design challenge for this week is to create a character or characters based on something related to the second of the Deadly Sins, "lust". This one could get over the line pretty quickly, folks, so I'm reminding you that this is very much a PG-13 site.
You could do a vampiress or hunky vampire, a succubus, a super-character named Lust, or anything else that comes to mind. But really, it's up to you. Just make a great illustration based on the concept of "lust".
The rules are the same as usual:
The person with the winning entry as selected by our expert panel (i.e. me) will win their choice of a) a portrait to go in HeroMachine 3, b) an item to go in HeroMachine 3, or c) a custom black and white "Sketch of the Day" style drawing (also by me).
No limit again this week, knock yourselves out.
Good luck, everyone!

Caption Contest 117 brought some funny entries, so many thanks to everyone who entered. I picked my favorites to replace the missing dialog in this panel:
Without further ado, here are your Finalists for this week:
After due deliberation, I've decided on our winner, E350!
Congratulations to E350 and all our Finalists!

Next up in our Seven Deadly Sins series of character design contests is Pride!
Your design challenge for this week is to create a character or characters based on something related to the second of the Deadly Sins, "pride". Your character could be named Pride; or you could build a were-lion, a starship named "The Pride of Earth", a mighty warrior who's the pride of her village, or anything else you could think of related to the pride going before the fall.
But really, it's up to you. Just make a great illustration based on the concept of "pride".
The rules are the same as usual:

Many thanks to everyone who entered Caption Contest 16! I rounded up what I thought were the funniest submissions for this "Archie" comics panel:
And here they are!
It's tough to pick out just one, but that's why they pay me the big bucks. Oh, wait, I don't get paid any bucks any more ... oh well, the job still needs to be done. So therefore our winner is ... Myro!
Congratulations to Myro, and thanks again to everyone who brought the funny this week.
