The production of contest items continues in the New Year, with a “Dragon Eye Sword” for Abadon from Character Contest 7 (Spellslinger):

I’ve been busy the last couple of days, and am happy to announce the release of several new items from past contest winners.
First, Kingmonkey chose a Bulletman helmet for winning Character Contest 19 (Halloween), and it is now available in Headgear-Standard:

Next, Hammerknight wanted Gargoyle style legs for winning Character Contest 22 (Greek Mythology) which are now in Male & Female Body Standard:

This large monstrous hand bears no relation to any other fantasy hand, living or dead, and any coincidence thereby is purely coincidental. And anyway, Johny’s the one who wanted it for his Real-Life Halloween prize in Character Contest 20 (now in HandRight/HandLeft-Standard):

Finally, Rancid chose a neat neck collar thingie for winning Character Contest 16 (Progression), which is in Neckwear-Standard and is intended to have the head nestle into it so it looks like the neck is in shadow:

Thanks to those guys for being patient with me, and hope you all enjoy their choices too.

Thanks Kaldath!

After many many months, I have finally finished Danny Beaty’s prize for winning Caption Contest 51, a custom black and white illustration of his character “Black Ant”:
Here’s the original HeroMachine version, just for a point of reference:

As you can see, I changed up his armor and blasters quite a bit, and his helmet a lot, so we could get exactly what he was supposed to look like.
I also want to thank Danny publicly for being so patient while work on HM3 delayed the completion of his prize. Thanks Danny!
I am going to try my best to finish all of the outstanding contest prizes before New Year’s. I doubt I can actually do it, but I’m going to try, darn it!

Thanks to everyone who entered “Caption” Contest 64. To review, this one was a bit different, you had to do what I do with the Daily Random Panels and come up with a funny headline for the panel in question:

The following Honorable Mentions did it particularly well:
Which leaves our winner, who I think not only nailed the entire concept of what the Headlines are supposed to be, and not only perfectly captured the essence of this incredibly random panel, but also made me laugh right out loud …
TheNate: Study: 99 Percent of Superheroes Not Bullet-Proof
Well done, Nate and all the Honorable Mentions! He’ll get to choose either a portrait of himself or any item he likes for inclusion in the final HeroMachine 3 program.
We’ll have a normal Character Contest coming up in a bit. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to enter!

I’ve just updated the Companion-Vehicles set for HeroMachine 3 with Niall Mor’s prize for winning Caption Contest 60. It’s in two parts, the front and the back, so you can position a figure as if it’s sitting in the chair:

Thanks to Niall for picking a great item to be included! And now, on to Texas-OU and the (hopefully) complete domination of the Sooners.

I’ve just posted an update to the ItemRight-Polearms set that includes Loki’s prize for winning Caption Contest 61. Actually, there are TWO “rune-carved wizard staves” because I wasn’t sure the first one was what he was looking for. So Loki, let me know if either of these work for you:

It’s a bit hard to tell, but the second two entries go together. The first has the majority of the staff one color with the globe at the end the secondary color so you can get that magical orb effect. The runes are the secondary color of the last item, the curved stone with the ties so you can attach it to another staff. That way you can have the runes “glow” a different color if you want.
