Hey everyone, I know I’ve been MIA lately. Things have been nuts lately, especially with school wrapping up. But, time waits for no one and those costumes aren’t gonna make themselves, so let’s look at what (little, unfortunately) progress we’ve made! And as a bonus, a cake!

The premise of this contest is that over the next number of weeks we will build a team of superheroes and a team of villains. Each week I will supply you with a role, name, or list of powers of one of the team members and you will use HM3 to create the character. The winner each week will win a version of their character created on HM by yours truly.
Your challenge this week is to design the hero team’s warrior Achillia.
Real Name: Nancy George
Age: 35
Hometown: Utica, New York
Profession: Bladesmith / Ancient Historian
Achillia is the reincarnation of one of Ancient Rome’s famed Gladiatrix (female gladiators) She relies on intense physical training and her arsenal of homemade weapons as she has no actual superpowers.

Fantastic entries by everyone this week! The win this week goes out to Kellkin.
The costume design is brilliant, and the mechanical spider “minions” are just great. Well done you!
Your prize will be posted to the blog later this week.
Thanks to all who entered

So, as we’ve just found out what the community believes are the top 10 best superhero movies of all time, why not do the opposite. As with the poll for the best movies, I’ve started us out with 10 movies that most people will agree are to some extent pretty terrible, but you can add your own choices to the list (preferably with the year they came out, so we don’t have any confusion between movies with the same or simular names, i.e. Fantastic Four) one per day. We are including any film that has superheros as a main theme and had a theatrical release, both live-action and animated. So we wouldn’t accept the 1992 Fantastic Four film because that went unreleased and can only be viewed on VHS bootlegs or on the internet, but we would accept Hancock, because it was about superheroes and wasn’t great. You can vote for as many choices as you want once per day and the poll is open until the 6th of July (so a week on Friday).

Your challenge this week is to design the villain team’s computer genius Dark Web.
Celine Eastlake was recruited by the FBI at age 19 as a hacker in their cyber crimes division. This job took her to parts of the internet that she had only heard about. Dangerous people resided there, and the deals made there were horrific.
While researching The Lunatic Fringe’s latest attack, she came across sensitive banking information from around the globe tied to Dr. Epoch’s group, and promptly emptied the accounts into an FBI ghost account which she had previously set up.
Celine then ran a search for people looking for information online about The Fringe’s activities. It was here that she ran across the name Seth for the first time. A quick search revealed a young man with an intense superiority complex, and considerably more passion than intelligence. “Hmm…” she thought,“…fascinating”
She quickly transferred all the money from the ghost account into a new account set up for Seth. Celine then cracked open a beer, and called Seth to tell him what she had done. What he saw as a way to honour his work and vision, Celine saw as a way to live the life of which she had dreamed.
Dark Web is rarely in the field with the others, preferring to work from the compound, but when she does she wears a suit of dark purple and black, and a mask/helmet which allows her to access the internet through the movement of her eyes.
She and Pin Up quickly became best friends.

The win this week goes to Xinmodic. What pushed this entry over the top was the background story that Xinmodic created. The inclusion of Hurricane Katrina and last year’s team building villains, The Lunatic Fringe, was really a great idea. Not a huge fan of the name Elemarrow, but the power of the back story cannot be denied. Well done you!
Your prize will be posted on the blog later this week.
There was also great story work by Gregorry Basore this week. Good job sir.

Once again we had a tie last week. Both AMS and Ubiquitous Pixel ccame up with awesome designs. So rather than doing two different designs based on their originals, and since it was a challenge about a morphing character, I decided to morph the best of both entries into one terrifying Guanlong.
AMS original
and UP’s version
My version…
