This is a Kaldath Health Update.

Well folks we have a good new bad news situation here, though mostly good news. I have been discharged from Hyperbaric treatments early because my foot has already healed up, and if it is still considered "healed" next week at my wound care appointment I will be discharged from wound care also. The Bad new is that my regular doctor thinks I have a bulging disc in my back and will be sending me to physical therapy to treat it. My back is causing me a great deal of pain, resulting from a fall I took right after being discharged from the hospital. In any event things are certainly looking up for me healthwise even if pain is still an issue at this point.

Poll Position: Greatest Star Wars Character

Ok, guys, going to try something a bit different this week. I'm looking for ways to make my Tuesday List series a bit more interactive, so what I'm going to try out is bringing back the Poll Position series and have you guys vote on a category I'm planning to do in the future. I've included 20 answers already (the main characters throughout the entire Star Wars series) and I've left an option open for you guys to add your own answers. You can vote for as many as you like and I'll take the 10 characters with the highest votes and use that as the basis for the list in 2 weeks time.

[polldaddy poll="9537597"]

To clarify, I've separated characters that are played by different actors between trilogies (Yoda doesn't count here as he's a puppet/ CGI).

Caption Contest #79

Ok guys, time for another caption contest, where you have to come up with the funniest replacement dialogue for a random comic panel of my choice. This week, you're replacing the dialogue for this:

Everyone can have a maximum of 3 entries, entries must be in by next Wednesday (5th Oct) and Must Be PG-13. Leave your replacement dialogue in the comments below.

The List: Top 10 Stan Lee Marvel Movie Cameos

We all know who Stan Lee is right? He's that guy who is executive producer for pretty much all Marvel's movies and who can't stop inserting himself into the film with random cameos. Oh and he might have written some comics once.

But considering his fame as a Marvel Movie Where's Waldo, we might as well take some time to count down his greatest achievements in the realm of the silver screen. Here's my list of Stan Lee's top 10 greatest cinematic performances.... or just the best cameos he makes in Marvel movies. The first one sounds better though.

I’m still here

Hey folks, nothing major, but I just wanted you to know that Ye Olde Jeffe is still alive and kicking. The mods are doing a great job and I'm so happy you all are creating and having fun, but if there's anything you'd like to see us do more or less of please let me know.

I am also working on a Sooper Sekrit project that will hopefully pave the way for a HeroMachine 4 that is HTML-based instead of relying on Flash. Which is good, because Flash is, sadly, going to be pretty much non-existent at some point in the near future.

Anyway, thanks for being such a great community and keep on creating!

Character Design Challenge #189 – Nana Nana Nana NOT Batman!

Batman debuted in 1939, but so did a lot of heroes and villains in the Public Domain. Your challenge this week is to visit the link below and redesign a superhero or villain that also debuted in 1939.

Pop Quiz – Spirits of Autumn – Results

First off, I have to give a shout out to this week's honourable mention Wood Nymph by Brons. The ombre effect and print in the sheer gown is really top notch work.

And now to this week's winning entry Autumn Satyr by Cliff. More of the fine work we have come to expect. Well done you!

Demolishing A Mystery, Or: Why I Never Want To Know The Joker’s True Identity

I’ll admit, this wasn’t what I was originally going to write about this week. I’d been working on something else, but then I saw this article on a sidebar: We are Finally Going to Learn The Joker’s True Identity! The moment I saw the title I knew I’d have to save my original topic about revisiting a childhood TV show to see how it fared now, and talk about this instead. I know this article is from a few months ago now, but the idea of it still bears discussion.
