Pop Quiz – Out of this World!

7jhqp5

Your Pop Quiz challenge this week is to design an alien landscape.

You only get one entry so be creative, and above all else, have fun!

All entries must be in JPG or PNG form (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (like the HeroMachine :,ImageShackPhotoBucket, or whatever);

  • Entries must be made as a comment or comments to this post, containing a link directly to the image and the character name;
  • The image must be new and designed specifically for the Pop Quiz;
  • No copyrighted characters please – they will be deleted.
  • Please name your filesas [your name]-[character name].[file extension] before you upload it. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his “Bayou Belle” character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png.

Please make the link go directly to the image (like this) and not to a hosting jump page (like this).

This contest will close at 6pm Eastern on Sunday, October 2nd.

    Out of time again. Here’s mine:

    “Herd Of Vynths Seen Thru Crystal Crevice”

    Vynths are attracted to the crystal crevices found on their homeworld. They gather there, mate, and migrate back home. Thus regions interbreed.

    Ghoti-yuQ is the home planet of the Gohti’lod (my Star Trek-inspired race from Pop Quiz: Happy 50th!).

    The planet is famous for the violet auroras found in the deb (deserts) that the Gohti’lod simply call “chal” (sky).

    Out Of This World Pop Quiz

    The desert planet Trinity, named for the triple suns.
    This is the Wondering Woods, floating trees that hover, so the roots can get what little moisture there is from the air.
    They are currently above the Stoney Desert.
    gliding into the Plains of the Wasted Sea,
    in the distance in the Mourning Mountain
