I've added the GloveLeftStandard set of items to the HeroMachine 3 Alpha, so you can now have matching items without having to manually flip them. I also added two dedicated "arm blasters" by request:

I'll be moving on to Tops today, so holler if you want anything NOT currently in HeroMachine 2.x or one of the minis.
Nice arm blasters.
About the tops, I have two particular requests:
1) A piece of armor to protect the heart, something like this:
http://rlk89.com/gameinfluence/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/ike.JPG
2) A piece of armor for the chest, something like this:
http://fireemblemblog.files.wordpress.com/2007/09/noah.jpg
Any other armor would be greatly appreciated.
And these are a bunch of links for inspiration if you have the time to see them ๐

hmmm tops? well i would say more martial arts themed tops considering that there were only a few in HM:2.x, that is just a side note what i would like to see is more vests. particularly
http://img.neoseeker.com/v_concept_art.php?caid=199
that style or
http://img.neoseeker.com/v_concept_art.php?caid=870
that style. yeah i know you do not do anime but you are a brilliant artist with your own style, seeing your warhammer works and a few others i would like to see you renditions of the tenkaichi style artwork.

Jeff i would like a half cyborg cheast piece i know i’m obeseeed with the idea but i love me some cyborgs ๐
I know it’s not strictly tops, but can we please have some facial features? Nose, eyes, mouth etc. The faces are all kinda dodgy looking.
Just one voice in a sea of many, yet I’ll propose the M41/Parson’s Jacket as an item. It could also sub for a number of other jackets or even a buttoned-up dress shirt. Thanks, Jeff.
http://www.epicmilitaria.com/shopimages/products/thumbnails/t_467.jpg
I would love to see tons of medieval weapons likes axes, claymores, spears, hammers, etc.. , and more medieval pieces in general thanks for the time.
Safari Jacket, Victorian officer’s coat, shoulder holsters of different kinds, gorgets, and campaign medals/badges you could add to an existing top
Also would like to see a Navy style jacket with stripes on the sleeves
A Western Duster http://www.bostongearoutlet.com/images-prod/filson-465-duster-lg.jpg sans zipper
I’d like to see a top for female characters that covers the shoulders and upper body but leaves the midriff bare–think Kim Possible or Supergirl.
How about a coat with rows of ribbons like a military officer’s dress uniform?
@Jeff: Excellent work! Can’t wait to see and use the finished product!
I’ve never commented here before, but I would like to say that I love the Heromachine program to absolute pieces and have been using it extensively for a certain superhero writing project of mine, since I lack all ability in the world to draw.
Back to the point of top requests, anything you can manage to scribble along the lines of more modern clothing, especially female, would be a great help. Just basic, fitted stuff to mix with more conventional crimefighting attire. And, more specifically, a cute sweater or two, the kind that have sloppy sleeves and only incredibly skinny animated girls can pull off.
Anything period, Victorian or whatever, that you feel like including is immensely appreciated. Recollections.biz is a good place for basic examples, if you find yourself wondering what the hell I’m going on about. The skirts especially, even though that’s more of a pants request, but I fear I’ll lack the balls to speak up again and not having them for some of my designs has been a pain.
I’d also like to second the above facial features comment, but mostly because more options in that department are always welcome, as are more hairstyles.
In closing…you’re so very, very awesome.
a bit of ideas here
some 007 suits.
some dragonball(saiyan armor)tipe of armor.
and some opened vests.
by the way thx alot for the blasters, u are the man jeff!
I’d personally appreciate a militarty style dress shirt (you know with epilets) and also perhaps and some Galactic Empire esque military uniforms.
Jeff i think that having some of the same items in two sets might slow down heromachine. some exsamples are the hands and hair. (if this is not so disregard my thoughts)
I’d like to see a whole lot more spandex tops options. A bunch similar to what you had in 2.5 but, y’know, more. ๐
Not that you should plagiarize Hero-O-Matic, but I really like the way they’ve got their tops set up there, the different styles and all.
Also, did you give any thought to my suggestion of including leg or lower body components like Red Tornado’s whirlwind effect or Cannonball’s ‘trail of fire’? If you put something like those in, you will be my hero. ๐
Oh, and awesome job so far. If UGO needs impetus to release HM3 as a buyable product for use offline, tell them for me that I for one am more than willing to buy a copy (and more for friends).
I searched the internet for pictures of my earlier wishes. The ones at the beginning are the ones I’d most like to see included, but everything at the miscellaneous section’d be nice too.
The clerics neck ribbon could be like the one attached to a runed coat in Heromachine 2’s Coat/expansion1 section, but maybe little wider and without tassels.
If only I could have found a picture of a 3-edged sword (The cross section of the blade is like an equilateral triangle). Like a really steep 3-sided pyramid. I’m thinking without a blade guard, just the blade and a hilt with small pommel.
Hoods, narrow and wide openings:
These four pictures have the kinds of hooded coats with right kind of narrow openings and shadow covering the face (glowing eyes optional), maybe with an option to add some runes in the lining:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4a/Geneforge_2_Title_Screen.jpg
http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com/images/geneforge2/icyambush.jpg
A very nice wide hood. Almost as good as the one Darth Maul had before his final fight:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/compmage_gallery/100496.jpg
Dark elf style armor:
This is the best armor I could find of dark elf style, with skintight lamellar plates with sharp angels and points:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/mmiii_gallery/83038.jpg
Now this leather outfit screams dark elf. Notice the right glove/wrist plate that goes beyond the elbow (could end sharply though). Skull shoulder plate and left knee plate. Also the right side thigh cover is excellent:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/ca_gallery/85424.jpg
Wrist plate is very dark elvish. Shoulder armor’d be too, but it goes a bit overboard with spikes:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/cw_ag/75426.jpg
Dark elf style thigh plates:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/DrowUnderdark_Gallery/104493.jpg
Helmet:
Here is the T-shaped helmet look that I’ve been looking for. It just needs to have narrower opening between cheekplates and without those metallic horns. Also left shoulder plate has neck plate in it:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/mm2_gallery/88268_620_35.jpg
An example of helmet with T-shaped opening. Now this kind of helmet with a lot narrower T-shape, shadow covering face, glowing eyes and possibly optional viking horns would make a nicely menacing headgear:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/completechampion_gallery/104757.jpg
Neck armor:
Notice the neck armor as part of the chest plate. Maybe the center point should rise a little higher to cover the mouth. Also the helmet model is interesting:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/cosw_gallery/90439.jpg
Right shoulder plate covers neck:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/completechampion_gallery/104749.jpg
Wood elf:
A wood elf with leaf armor:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/cw_ag/75421.jpg
Living bow and leaf style shoulder plates:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/cx_gallery/86348.jpg
Pouches, pockets and scroll holders:
Here’s a prepared hero. Notice scroll holder on the belt, wrist cover with magic wands and small bags hanging from chest belt:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/compmage_gallery/100490.jpg
Nice belt going across chest with pouches. Also the wrist covers that continue towards shoulder over the elbow:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/compmage_gallery/100488.jpg
Magic wand plus a horizontal sroll holder in the belt:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/compmage_gallery/100502.jpg
A well prepared wizard. Jacket has nice pockets on the side of the thigh in two rows:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/mhbk_gallery/76950_CN.jpg
Interesting crystal holder hanging from the belt on right thigh.
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/moe_gallery/91466.jpg
Miscellaneous notes:
A neat magical staff, with a freely floating orb. In this case one that resembles an eye:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/33888727@N00/2075277328/
Repeater crossbow, suitable for Warhammer style dark elf:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/aeg_gallery/50048.jpg
Interesting knives and wide hoods:

Armor on the right gives another example of lamellar leg plates:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/cor_gallery/89543.jpg
A very interesting armor. Notice the shoulder plates shaped like animal skulls, necktie like piece of armor, spiked wristplates and the lamellar covering the belly:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/cor_gallery/89564.jpg
Wide hooded cloaks. The second one with partial shadow:

Pharaoh style hair and beard:

Neat wrist cover plus glove and sorcerers skin tight bald cap (in this case a half mask variant):
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/gallery/SORMaleSorcerer.jpg
Another lamellar leg plate. This time covering sides of the legs:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/gallery/6FemaleBarbarian.jpg
Runic tattoos on face and hands. Also the corset is nice:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/cx_gallery/86364.jpg
Wide hood and spurs. Also chainmail thigh covers:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/ca_gallery/85445.jpg
Nice helmet:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/completechampion_gallery/104733.jpg
This guy has a nice shield, but he wields it with wrong hand. It’s shape’d be good for resting a spear on it while attacking, if used in other hand:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/cpsi_gallery/96350.jpg
This person is well prepared. Knives in wrist and shin covers and in the back:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/cw_ag/75419.jpg
Hmm…a giant eye where face should be:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/mhbk_gallery/76983_CN.jpg
Scimitar would fit a dark elf:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/mhbk_gallery/76924_CN.jpg
Dark elf weaponry:

Guy on the right, his lamellar leg plates:
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/aeg_gallery/50065.jpg
Harness of some sorts :
H shaped harness
X shaped
or High tech one.
navy style uniforms would be very usefull for me. chest fluff would be funny (and perhaps even useful).
and american civil war uniforms (…i think there are in 2.x or at least something similar, but just to mention it)
overall more uniforms xD and cyborg stuff would be cool
@Imp: Yes, that’s a great idea (tornado bottoms etc.), but it’ll come in the Body slot down the road a bit. I want to get more Standard options for every slot first.
How about a
Scalemail vest
i bet you have seen this before but just more ideas, there are weapons also in there.

i think the last one will help more fo the torso
Since I’m into doing RPG and Medieval style characters, anything in that regard would be greatly appreciated. I mean what you had in 2.5 was great but just more of it!
Love Hero Machine dude. Couple of ideas. In terms of tops i wpuld love:
-Jedi themed outfits. I love creating jedi, but there is a lack of jedi like robes and uniforms in 2.5
http://fatfrog.info/Ma/Anderes/PaperDoll/Halloween/Jedirobes.gif
– Mid length trench coats that stop in mid thigh length.
Also
-An adolescent body type. (I would love to create a robin esque character.
-Lightsaber. (Could you improve on the one in 2.5, it was a bit off in design).
http://www.bluesfear.com/images/tutorials/jedi_final.jpg
-The clerics neck ribbon could be like the one attached to a runed coat in Heromachine 2’s Coat/expansion1 section, but maybe little wider and without tassels.
-A 3-edged sword (The cross section of the blade is like an equilateral triangle). Possibly without a blade guard and with only small pommel.
-A pirate’s hook hand.
-A pirate’s peg leg.
-A wizard’s coat with a hood that shadows face (option for gloving eyes). Open at front, but only narrow opening. Also variants with runed and ragged linings.
-A wide, face shadowing hood like the one seen on Darth Maul just before he engages the jedis in final fight.
-A repeating crossbow used by dark elves in Warhammer fantasy
-Pharaoh style hair and beard.
-Lamellar thigh covering plate armor, both regular and dark elf style.
-A magical staff, with a sickle shaped end and a freely floating orb in its center. Possibly different kind of orbs (glowing ball, an eye, a fireball)
-A heavy breast plate with high neck armor, rises high enough to cover mouth.
-A wrist covering with magic wands placed in it.
-A dark elf style wrist plate which extends to a sharp point beyond the elbow.
-A Warhammer fantasy chaos warrior style helmet with a narrow T-shaped facial opening that shadows face, except for glowing eyes. Viking horns optional.
I searched the internet for inspiring pictures.

The Ragewalker in Monster manual III gallery – page 6 shows an excellent dark elf style armor. It has skintight lamellar plates with sharp angels and points.
The Warlock in Complete arcane gallery – page 1 showes a leathery dark elvish outfit. Notice right wrist cover that goes beyond the elbow (could end sharply), skull shaped plates and right side thigh cover.

i think it would be cool to make a body with a gut to make maybe a burly character or maybe a retired super hero.
I’d like to throw in my two cents here. I think you could really use a jedi tunic type thing, where there’s an undertunic, overtunic, obi/sash, belt, robe, pants, and boots. The different pieces would go well with other mixes and matches, but anyone looking for a custom jedi type character would benefit immensely from having these few basic parts accounted for in at least one pose.
Good stuff Kalkin, sorry it took so long to post — the Spam filter caught it and I just now went in and checked, found your posts, and restored them.
