The fourth of seven members of the Southern Stars, Opal is from Alice Springs and is of mixed European and Indigenous heritage. Opal takes her name from the large opal that is embedded in her throat, a creation stone from the Dreamtime that she stumbled upon. The stone found her worthy and gifted her with its powers.
Opal can create items of solid opal, even her costume is a layering of flexible opal that flows over her from the stone when she uses its power. Any items that opal creates are permanent as long as they are in her possession; but if she relinquishes them they crumble into dust after about an hour. The limits of Opal’s abilities are unknown though at present she can only create simple objects.
As she comes to master the stone’s abilities she should be able to create almost anything.
    Opal.png

Opal recently discovered that she can encase people in her opaline substance, when she seemingly turned a villain the team was fighting into a statue of solid opal. For the next hour she thought that she had killed someone but when the coating dissolved from around the immobilised villain, she discoivered the truth. (Note she needs to be in physical contact with a person/being/item to attempt to encase them).

Here is the latest member of the Southern Stars – my Australian Superteam. Big Big BIG thanks to ams for the pose or I never could have done it.
Anyway meet Wipeout aka Toby McGuiness. Toby, who hails from the Gold Coast can create and control water and is a talented surfer. A child prodigy, Toby was kicked off the world tour after his powers manifested and he was ‘caught’ using them to win. (He didn’t realise this of course, he just thought he was THAT good).

Here are two more “bodies” that the Iron Skull has used in the past.
First Up is a body created for him by the Overlord to enable the Skull to assist him in conquering Atlantis:

Next is an example of how Iron Skull can commandeer existing technology and repurpose it for (in this case) combat or as an escape vehicle.

Thanks, I have a few more including some non-humanoid versions I’m working on. Given that he was supposed to be a throwaway henchman when first created, he has taken on a life of his own and is becoming something much more.

Still on the Villain Kick we have The Iron Skull.
The Iron Skull was one of the Overlord’s top Lieutenants until he was crushed by falling debris during a battle with the Guardians of Vengeance. His body crippled, the villain was saved by his master. The Overlord transplanted his underling’s brain and eyes and implanted within a cybernetic metallic skull. The Skull was then fitted to a special bio-synthetic boy specially crafted for the purpose.
Now called the Iron Skull, he eventually left the service of the Overlord taking, not only his new form but also several alternate bodies that had been created for him.
The Iron Skull can detach his head unit and swap bodies though the process does take some time. He can also ‘eject’ his head unit from its current bio-synthetic body and operate independently for a short period of time (usually as a means of escape) as the interface probes that connect the unit to a body can also function as impromptu legs. The unit also has a small propulsion unit that allows it to fly at high speeds and is able to interface with mechanical and technological devices, co-opting them as emergency “Hosts”.
The default form used by the Iron Skull:

    A large, strong alternate “Body

And a “body” tasked for ranged attacks:

Another member of the League of Villainy, Brawn who is also known as The Brutaliser is your typical henchman villain used as muscle by many villain groups over the years. Brawn has the ability to increase his body density to incredible levels. This gives him Armoured Skin and Super Strength and also increases his weight. A full density he is almost impossible to harm but has been known to cause the suface he is standing on to collapse if not sufficiently strong/thick.

Wow I can’t believe a whole week went by that fast, anyway here is a new character for everyone. Inspired by an obscure golden age character that was basically the Human Torch recoloured I give you the Blue Flame.
The Blue Flame can create (as the name suggests) blue flames. He can generate these flames from any part of his body but usually manifests it as an aura of flame as, in this form, his powers are greatest (He can only fly when fully powered up for example).
    Blue-Flame-Ablaze.png
When a low profile is required or when not in a fight, he usually powers down his full aura. He can still generate flame but usually uses it as bolts of fire shooting from his hands.

I updated the pose for Taifun and Twista so they fit better in the group shots (and so arms aren’t chopped off when exporting at 1600 x 2400).

Meet Carlos Burghetti, better known as Strongarm, chief enforcer and bodyguard of the Cordone crime family. Carlos has super strength being able to lift up to 20 tons but without any form of invulnerability. Carlos’ father was a low ranking member of the Cordone family and, when his son first manifested his power, Carlos senior saw a way to rise up withing the organisation. Carlos was presented to Marco Cordone, head of the family, after a demonstration of his strength, Carlos began his training to become the new family enforcer. Strongarm has had several run-ins with Nightstalker due to his current occupation but has always managed to avoid jail time as he is “just doing his job” as bodyguard to a wealthy entrepreneur who has many business rivals.
