Attached below are my entries for CDC #375. The name for the villain team is the Epoch Consortium. The hero team’s name is Spectrum. I wanted the designs to be similar, yet opposites off each other.
For the Consortium, I based it off of Dr. Epoch’s color scheme. I figured since he is an egomaniac he would want most of the infamy. On the other hand the hero logo has a color representing each member of their team. Both logos feature the world and hands. On the villain logo it looks like the hand is going to crush the world. Whereas the on the hero logo the hands are propping up the world.August 9, 2018 at 6:10 pm in reply to: Lady Amaranth's Creations #151996
A long silver dress with glittery designs down it. Most likely the last dress for a while.August 9, 2018 at 5:48 pm in reply to: CantDraw Gallery of Bad Art #151994
Last two are very cool.August 1, 2018 at 9:02 pm in reply to: Lady Amaranth's Creations #151885
A loose and flowy red slip-on dress with two high leg slits.
Originally I was thinking of adding more detail bits, but when I got to here I fell in love with it’s simplicity.August 1, 2018 at 7:34 pm in reply to: Lady Amaranth's Creations #151883
@Keric: Thanks! I really enjoy looking at your designs! You come up with some very unique ideas.
A smooth and form-fitting black dress with a reddish-purple sheer skirt that varies in length. Part of a Ballroom design series.
Only thing that annoyed me making this one was the line colors. If I made the body lines black then they wouldn’t show on the dress like they do above (due to masking). However I felt black lines on the skin were worse so I went this route.July 29, 2018 at 10:13 am in reply to: Lady Amaranth's Creations #151855
A long cream colored dress with black lacework and a black mermaid skirt.July 28, 2018 at 4:47 pm in reply to: Vigarri's Universe #151837
These all are really nice. I’m liking the background work and Eiko’s pose is cool.July 28, 2018 at 4:39 pm in reply to: Lady Amaranth's Creations #151833
@Yin: Thanks! She’s a favorite of mine too. I might get around to trying out more futuristic designs eventually. 🙂
Now a break from our normal programming. Femininity came knocking and asked for some dresses and I decided sure. So there will likely be a short series of ballroom dresses. I’ll be reusing the same background and model for the dresses to keep it simple. These will be added separately bellow if anyone wants to use them.
First dress here is a dark purple ballgown with a black lace top and a sheer billowy skirt.July 28, 2018 at 4:31 pm in reply to: Yin's Competition Entries #151832
Very nice character designs. I really like Enris and Ladyhawke. They both have clean and well put together costumes.July 25, 2018 at 10:32 am in reply to: Lady Amaranth's Creations #151765
@Anarchangel: Thanks man! Honestly you can make decent backgrounds using only 5 pieces. It just takes some experimenting. You can think of it as standing surface, near scenery, distant landscape/scenery, sky/backwall, and atmosphere effect. Anything beyond that is just extra, but I consider those the 5 min pieces you need for a decent background. If your character is inside a room then you can eliminate distant landscape so long as there are no windows.
My 5th edition DnD bard, Adellyn. I wanted to make something more colorful than usual. I figured this character’s wild tropical reef palette made her a good candidate.
Adellyn is one of five noble triton daughters. Her father was hardened towards the surface races after the tritons lost the war over the strait 100 years ago. While he rambles at length over allying with other sea dwelling races to reclaim thier lost land, Adellyn can’t help but feel that the lesser races would make better students than subdued rivals.
Strong headed and ambitious, she has set out to the surface with the goal of proving to her father that the surface races possess the ability to learn the refined ways of the tritons. She is more than willing to travel far and wide to explore every crevice of the dry world. However, her life in the sea has rendered her completely ignorant of surface life. The complete wonder she has towards it all in addition to her lack of experience often overwhelms her common sense and renders her naive.June 6, 2018 at 6:23 pm in reply to: Calvary_Red’s Gallery #151145

Forgot to upload this weeks CDC #367 entry here too. CDC link: http://www.heromachine.com/2018/06/03/cdc-367-team-building-part-6/
Nakami Eiko is the descendent of a long line of master assassins and ninja. In ancient times, her family was well known for being samurai slayers. They’d take their helms as trophies and wear them on their next hunt. In modern times, she works as an assassin for hire worldwide.
She has over time retrofitted her family’s traditional uniform with advanced alloys that make her sturdier yet still lightweight. This gives her a much needed edge when facing off against the world’s super humans. Her two favorite weapons are her grandfather’s katana and her custom sniper rifle.
Other: Nakami can be translated to “sword” or “blade” in English. And elements of her top were borrowed from one of Anarchangel’s characters so check out their thread if you haven’t yet. Cool stuff there.June 2, 2018 at 8:31 am in reply to: Lady Amaranth's Creations #151092
Searine should she ever be possessed by the demon Szereban. She’s hotter, redder, and oh so much badder.
Searine was concieved by a demon-worshiping cult that made up a small rural village. She was born a tiefling as a product of the town’s work, and she was raised with the purpose to pledge herself to a powerful demonic patron. The town hoped that she would eventually house the demon lord, who in turn would bestow the cultists with the power to destroy and conquer the lands around them. They kept her locked up in a cellar to prevent her from running away. The night before her 18th birthday, the day she would have to make the pledge, she prayed to the stars for any diety to spare her from her fate.
That night Mystra, goddess of magic, answered her call. The goddess sent onto her one of her underlings, an elder being. In trade for Searine’s pact it would give her the power necessary to escape.
She has been on the run ever since. The cultists still hunt her. In conversation she never mentions her last name as Szereban is the name of the demon. She fears that the name can draw the demon’s attention. Searine hopes to find a lost lore that will hide her from the demon and his minions once and for all.May 29, 2018 at 9:56 pm in reply to: Anarchangel’s Archive #151044
Loving Celeste’s design. Costume is awesome with all the detailing. Seraph is very cool too.
