Herr DParticipantKeric set it, and no one took it. Took, topped? Whatever. Even without a background and a story, good misuses! K! Pick 3! You might be tempted to go easy, considering the epidemic of Spring-flake-out-itis going around.
Herr DParticipantIt looks like he has the condition where his hand is pointing the wrong way. You can’t see his thumb, so it might be that his fingers are just odd lengths or oddly placed.
Herr DParticipantFeed back: when playing with alpha, especially on energy effects, you should probably experiment with transparency on the outline a bit more. If masking isn’t going to give you the effect you want, sometimes you can ‘build’ the effect. It is usually more work. Like hiding things with ‘patches’ or Insignia/Tech colored to blend in. Or building small pieces of items out of very small items. I seem to remember adding a hemline made out of flattened sickle blades and crescent insignia and making a ghostbuster stream emitter wand out of a flattened chainsaw. Keep experimenting!
Herr DParticipantTailors are especially important for oddities that come up in making gloves. Like Aldric’s. I remember a story about a certain noble that popularized hoop skirts to hide the existence of her vestigial tail. As for suspicion, it’s very appropriate for those who are supposedly noble.

The clock is excellent and the story of it is hilarious
Why, thank you! Recreating Japanese numbers was easier than I thought. Sunni D gave me some advice for which of the numerous dragons to use in the jade carvings. I’d never heard of a zorigami before the contest . . . it was a fun one.

Herr DParticipant“Hairy Deewon asked me what this meant. I told him it was a blessing of unity equivalent to ‘shallots’ for carrots. He said the driver wasn’t a redhead, but that maybe the driver liked redheads. This misunderstanding is my fault, but you’ll never know how good it felt to be the one who understood people better than the other one in the conversation.”

Herr DParticipantWelcome, good work, and how long have you been using hm?
Herr DParticipantHEY! ONE MORE WEEK! Extends to 5/21.

Well, it really does look 80ish. Too bad that the movies almost never delivered on the promises those vhs-covers made.
Agreed. This looks like a movie I’d be disappointed by after seeing the cover art.

The reaper looks darn cool and spooky. I really enjoy reading your bios, you’re a great writer.
I concur. This is a great blurb.
Herr DParticipant. . . there’s no–gore? My wife, Sunni D, added that she thinks it’s too horny. (If anyone would know, it would be her. She’s lived with me.)

Thanks! No plans for any Metal Gear types in my Broken Arrow group. There is one gradient for every bullet on the ammo belts. Cheers!

more dedication and time than I have per idea by far. Nice work.
Herr DParticipantHoerst was half Prussian, half Swiss, and all clock maker. A hundred years ago he made his way to certain Japanese islands, learned (and mislearned) a fair amount of oriental culture, and made an exquisite, hand-carved jade inlay pendulum desk clock. He knew nothing about Buddhism, animism, or anything like that.
After a hundred years’ faithful service as a timepiece, the Zorigami awoke just in time to hear someone at the auction house say the unfortunate phrase “beat the clock.” His understanding of English idiom was not very good, and, even more unfortunately, the whetstone laying beside him on the table was very good indeed.

Herr DParticipantI was reminiscing about a routine I did for a while. It was a kata with two razor-sharp, mirror-plated swords. Single-edged till close to the tip, double-edged at the tip, three disks along the flat edge . . .
http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u438/jamais5/2014hm/KataWithSwords_zps5d8ce3bd.png
I’m beginning to think that those disks were rings that had been painted over too many times in too much of a hurry. This shape isn’t exactly right, and I turned the hilt prongs backwards, and the costume is a poor replica–but this is about what I saw in the reflective ceiling when I bent backward to smash the vase with my helmet. I thought the vase smash was goofy, but they swore to me it was impressive?
Herr DParticipant(Thanks, Myro. Good to know you identify with the sprout brigade!)
