. . . I’ve FAILED to give it up. I actually hate the process of longhand, typing, dictation, etc. Unfortunately, I have a compulsion to continue. Occasionally there’s a glimmer of enjoyment in a scene or two, but the only thing I can do to almost completely avoid writing and getting sucked into spending an unhealthy amount of time on it (forgetting other responsibilities) is to do other art forms. Like hm3. Even then, I sometimes have to write, but I can limit length by type of project.

Experience can tell you how many pages you’re stuck doing or how many other projects you must substitute to successfully avoid writing novels, etc. –Good luck.

Allie really likes her new game . . . She’s entering her character into the third level already.

Hey, hey, pick 3. I may have to look over your other submissions so far, but I’m struck that this seems like more work went into it. Also, 2 for 3 ‘misuses.’ It’s a shame no one entered against you. You might have won this one instead of, like me, just got handed the reins. Ah, well.

Peculiar thing? I don’t seem to be able to do a pic with more than 100 layers? Cuts down on my quality quite a bit.

(JR said vehicles couldn’t be used in anything critical. So I used one in the second cover model.)

I’m afraid you made it look a bit too good. The Retro Game Enthusiasts won’t want it. (580 squares? My goodness; what a wonderful attention span. At least numerical input could make it exact, right?)

I thought you did that on purpose. That she was holding her breath and had neck pouches to use as additional cheeks . . .

It sounds like you also wanted to know how we come to the ideas of posing. There are a lot of published comics out there, and action movies, etc. Speaking for myself, I decide on the content of the picture before I start, so I know why the characters are posed at all. I know what each character is doing, saying, thinking, and where in each action they are. So if something is blowing up, only the clueless, suicidal, showoff, insane, or invulnerable is standing casually. Besides canned poses you can use or copy from Google searches, it helps if you’ve actually been IN the pose. My little ones have a laughfest when I’m testing out poses or half-posing and bending around to look at myself. Just don’t injure yourself.

Updating this: five pics I can’t finish. Somewhere between 16 and 35 pieces, Flash crashes on me every time. As a relative noob, I’m mystified. Am I doing something wrong?

The city folk turned out in droves to celebrate the first ever “Checkered Wyrm Fest” as the first one successfully drawn out of Checkered Pass to be slain by the local militia was butchered, barbecued, and descaled, not in universal order. The darker plates were enough to armor the rest of the new city wall, which was a great relief, since more than 100 oliphant’s hides were required to restrain the wyrm during its last set of death throes.

Hey-hey! After trial (pc dying of virus that baffled the computer guys) and tribulation (learning by error new software–in process,) I am ready to post the only pic I seem to be able to finish. Data recovery and ‘decryption’ (more on that later,) should be accomplished within the week.

Okay, so the Microsoft Store told me Shockwave is being bought by somebody. Then they uploaded Firefox and told me to use it instead. Then the problem went away and Adobe Flash started crashing repeatedly. Did they misguide me? I missed another deadline and can’t finish yet another picture.

The virus that trashed my computer was beyond what the techs had ever seen. This far behind on everything fun AND work related, I’ll not project my next installment. Stay tuned!

Hey hey! New computer is up and running. Ran into this problem and tried the link ams posted.

Strange thing? It undoes itself–how do I make it stick? Is there a ‘Keep it’ button or something I’m missing? I’ve followed the instructions four times now.
