    HOMINGBIRD

One of the founding members of the Street Knights, Johnny Redwood was a young detective who worked closely with the police. But on a case, he was witness to a corrupt cop attempting to rape a victim. He intervened, but was later declared to be unfit for the case, and was removed from it. Leaving his job with the police in disgust, he sought an alternate career as a simple car mechanic. He built, as mostly a pet project, a flight suit that could use the biomass technology developed by his brilliant neighbor, Dr. Pardon, as fuel. This he and Dr. Pardon wanted to sell, but when the doctor was murdered, he decided to use it for himself in his investigation to find the murderer. Even with the case solved, he realized he had found his calling, and became the vigilante Homingbird, the flying detective.

Well. Long time no see, thread. Missed me? No? Right.

I have decided to start posting again (After all this time? Always). So, I’m now started on a seven part team of Post-World War II era American street vigilantes, the STREET KNIGHTS. To be clear, none of them have any power except their unique skill sets and equipment. Also, BE WARNED: in the image of their brutal time, some of these might have graphic back stories.

    BLINKSHOT

Former mercenary who became a hero after his daughter was captured and painfully murdered by a crime lord. Despite having found and killed him, he decided to end his now dead nemesis’ kind once and for all. He began a crusade against the influential crime lords of the city, but was eventually cornered down to be killed. He was saved by the then fledgling Street Knights, and joined them with a common goal.

I was writing a really big review when out of nowhere, my browser crashed.

Since I’m not feeling really talkative anymore, (Actually, what I am feeling is more akin to what Darth Vader was feeling when he yelled ‘NOOO!’) I’m gonna keep this short and reasonably bittersweet.

Loved that dreads mane by Funkmachine, but equally admired the dread-yarn by Herr D. Tie. And also, Dread-yarn should be a word.

While I like the over all pic, Funkmachine, I found the legwear item as a legwear item a bit… dull. There fore I prefer Herr D’s legwear craft bag. Herr D wins the round.

Another little nitpickin’ nugget, why is she just… holding a trumpet? I mean, I feel  as if I’m missing something. Is it supposed to look like a whip? Is it part of her attire? I have no idea, so this one goes to Herr D’s mirror-tumpet.

    Herr D wins, 2-1 !

Now pick three items and let me mourn for the ten minutes of my life wasted in writing a judgment killed so cruelly by a crashing browser. Thou shalt be missed, lost words.

Everyone here has pretty badass villains, all of them excellently made. So I decided then rather than send in one of my more dynamic, zypped entries, I’m sending in my dorky, if somewhat creative entry.

Here we have the Somewhat Dark Lord, the Killer of Small Worlds, SACARN THE VERY DARK GREY! Conqueror of uninhabited Galaxies, lord over hundreds of stupid Gobliens who have no idea how to aim, Sacarn now stands on the icy ground of Karthur, home world to only a) The furry b) The crazy.

The lack of people throwing awesome creations in my smug face is… disturbing.

Anywho, here are my next three items: (From top to Bottom)

    Item Right – Music

    Hair – Female braides

    Legwear – Male Standard

And if I don’t get more than two entries- be warned! It will only cause my prodigious ego to grow to new, impossible heights!

Inspired a bit by Funkmachine’s barbarian warrior, here is Gitrana, a somewhat psychotic bountyhunter who only accepts contracts to kill members of her own species for some twisted reason. Here she holds the head of an adolescent noble of her race in order to claim her reward.

As always, I’ve used each part multiple times. The tie, firstly, is warped and colored full black to make the lenses of her shades, which are connected by another neckwear. Then, it’s also masked to her arms as a design. Next the ears. Firstly, used in her mohawk-ish hairstyle. Secondly, two really thin, warped versions of the ears used for the scars on her face. The body is firstly used for the intricate neckpiece, next for the blood splatter on her arm in consequence of the falling gruesome bits.

Okay, tell me I’m not too late.

So, guess who’s back with a handy dandy creation? ME!
Now for the items. The shoulder is used as his goatee, masked to his face and arms to give him the “scars” and also as his shadow. The bustier is used as the thin waistcoat-ish spikes on either side of his trousers, and for the helmet (wink, wink). The nose is used for his head, and for the shiny golden badge on his chest.

Thanks guys! And yeah… that sword NEEDS to be real.
    The Fox
Charming and enigmatic, here is the Fox, super fast, super spy extraordinaire. With extraordinary agility, he can jump, swim and free-run extremely efficiently. He is also trained in the arts of stealth- by whom, only he knows. While the fur neck seems impractically large and cumbersome, it is designed to muffle and support his heavy helmet, and is made of synthetic fur which is both extremely thick, and quite light. He is well versed in many martial arts, and uses his own custom built techniques to fight.

By Cthulu’s immortal undies, that is one helluva awesome Lion head! And as always, your zypping is perfectly positioned and perfectly popping, somewhere between dynamic and subtle. Brilliant.

Ouch, sorry for not judging, man. Anywho, on a late note, that guy right there is the epitome of creepiness. Then again, sleep is for the weak.
    Now, here’s my counterattack.
Bi’Zarrus, bizarre by name and by nature, is an intergalactic invader. No one knows exactly WHAT he is, but he is one thing for sure- bizarre. He and his army of psychotic lizards have, uptill now, conquered 1.035 planets, out of which one is a barren sand world with the average temperature of 613 Celsius, and 0.035 is a small warehouse on a tiny abandoning mining. The rest of the planet cannot be conquered due to high level of anti-lizard friendly gasses. His arms have no joints so he can’t reach for his weapons- his hovering lower cyborg body malfunctions at awkward times- his eyes are located very awkwardly- his nose is alergic to his lizard army- he has no ears, and due to the lack of a butt, he has a permanent burping issues. Only heaven knows how he got into the armor in the first place.
On the other hand, he is very good at singing.

With a hasty apology for not posting for the last few days, let me give you one of my all-too-rare female hero-machinations, which is definitely my best female creation thus far.
    Alexandra Lex
Once in a while you come across a hero/heroine who finds secret identities and catchy names too mainstream. One such specimen is Alexandra Lex, preferably known as Alex. A slayer of all things evil, she is the daughter of the very first Earth super-hero, the Guardian (AKA Jonas Lex). She has many of his powers, such as flight, ability to phase through space, and rarely, time. She is super strong and has incredible stamina. Though a lot less melodramatic than her legendary father, she is still a powerful force of good. She wields a sword forged from her father’s, and wears a necklace her father once gifted her. She can shoot laser beams from both her sword and her eyes. She joined the Watch after her ex-boyfriend, mostly friend, sometimes rival, the Gateway joined them.

Here’s my first in a new series of Superhero guys.
He may look like a villain, but he’s actually a greek god who died and has recently been reincarnated. Not evil, but understandably cranky, this is Pan, the Lord of the Wild. His mission- to save the wild places of the world, and that also- by extension- means saving the world from whomever or whatever threatens it. Normally this means fighting alongside the hero team known as The Watch. He is also the Trickster, but of late, he only tricks his enemies instead of making some old lady’s milk curdle. Dying sort of took the fun out of his job description.
His powers- all wind animals obey him, and he can control plant life. His music plays with the minds of his enemies, and he is stronger than the strongest normal human, though not strong enough to throw cars around. He can lift one of the smaller ones, though, I bet.
When not fighting for the world, he can be found planting trees and drinking coffee.

    Thanks guys.
Okay, this one is one of my better, less lazily shaded ones.
    FlyGuy
If you think the name is lame, don’t blame me- blame Lucas Jones, the guy with wings. His wings were surgically grafted to his body in an experiment to test if humans really could fly. Needless to say, it didn’t work; until they extensively operated on him, making him progressively lighter and his wings stronger. Eventually, as result of the experiment, Lucas is now a super light, super agile winged guy with muscles strengthened by constant flight. He decided to become a super hero, named… yeah, FlyGuy.
