Next up is another Darkstreet remake, Roach. He’s the smallest of Calle Oscura’s small-time criminals, both in stature and in his influence within the city. A petty thief, low-level drug dealer, coward, and all around a general pest… Some call it karma that his first dose of the Evo drug gave him a bad case of dwarfism along with heavily mutating his body to gain insect features, most notably his head and wings. Although he’s such a minor presence in the city on his own, he always seems to be in the loop about what the other criminal organizations in Calle Oscura are up to, which lands him a spot as one of the COPD’s prime informants. They turn a blind eye to his minor crimes, and Roach gives them all the information they need on the bigger fish in the city’s criminal underground. He’s also the first Evo mutant that Frank encounters.

Here we have Darkstreet’s big bad, Darwin Black. The man is a walking mystery who many of Calle Oscura’s residents simply refuse to believe exists. He’s the leader of the equally ominous criminal organization known as “Noir”… Nobody really knows who they are or what their agendas are, and many theories constantly spring up surrounding the organization’s purpose. Are they some sort of secret shadow government controlling everything and everyone in Calle Oscura? Are they responsible for the creation of Evo? Are they plotting to take over the world? As it turns out… At least two of those theories are true.. “Darwin Black” is actually the name of Calle Oscura’s original founder who had very specific plans for the city’s future, planning several centuries in advanced. He created Noir to make sure that the city met its “ultimate destiny”, and wrote every detail of his plan in a special journal. After the original Darwin Black’s passing, the journal with all his plans was passed down to each new leader of Noir along with his name as a sort of alias for each leader of Noir to carry. The current Darwin Black is cold, calculated, manipulative, and widely believed to be downright evil by those who actually know of his existence…

Decided to do another rehash of ol’ Acedia since he’s become one of my new favourite villains. This time something a bit out of character for a ruthless, powerful demonic overlord. I now present to you all… Angrily Arm Flailing Chibi Acedia.

Doesn’t seem like Chibi Acedia loves ya back, General. But don’t hold it against the little guy, it’s in his nature to be an asshole to everyone.

Even evil demonic overlords need their nap time. Side note, these are really fun to make. You might be seeing quite a few of these Chibi Acedia images.

They are a real cool design. It would be fun to miss around with them to see what you can come up with.

So earlier today I started reading about this thing called the Fear Mythos and just got inspired to try and create Heromachine versions of each “fear”, so going in the order that the mythos’ wiki lists them, lets start with The Archangel.

The Archangel is the fear of religion, religious dogma and all things associated around them. In some cases it is portrayed as the afterlife (or at least a twisted bastardization of it).

And for those who might want it, here’s a text for the gasmask I made for him.

    Next up, the Black Dog.

The Black Dog is the fear of being found, your secrets put out for all to see, and the truths that nobody should have to know. The Rapture interpretation depicts it as the fear of the feral unknown and the fear of “body horror.”

He wanders libraries, always carrying an old book along with him. The fear of getting old and forgetting, if he writes your name into his book, you will forget your childhood. Your childhood will belong to him.

The Brute and the Burning Bride are, together, the fear of fire and rage, of burning anger and tranquil fury. They are the only known dual Fear – two entities representing a single fear. It is unknown if they are the same being in two separate bodies or two entities that are simply interconnected.
