    Alias: Amok

    Real Name: Asa Gardner

    Genre: Superhuman

Powers/Special Skills: with increased heart rate: super strength, super stamina, super speed

    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: none

    Affiliations: none

    Other Aliases: none

Status: under supervision at the Superhuman Containment Facility

    Bio:

Asa was born with a genetic mutation that causes his body to go into an adrenaline-fueled, superhuman blind rage when his heart rate raises above normal levels. Regardless of the cause of his excitement, he will be thrown into a fury during which his only motivation is destruction. Needless to say, Asa hates his condition because it often causes him to unwittingly hurt others. When in this super flight-or-flight state, he refers to himself as “Amok”, but he rarely speaks other than to roar his war cry. For a long time, Asa tried medication and yoga exercises to keep himself calm, but eventually he was forced to turn himself in to the Superhuman Containment Facility so that the world could be safer without him.

    Alias: Amp
    Real Name: Harriett Farson
    Genre: Superhero
    Powers/Special Skills: none
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: static electricity suit
    Affiliations: The Dynamos
    Other Aliases: Friction
    Status: active
    Bio:
Harriett is actually the second person to carry the mantle of Friction. her uncle Brad was the original. Brad possessed a technologically advanced suit that created sparks of electricity when he moved, and then could store and fire the electricity in long bolts utilizing his boots, belt, chestplate, and gloves.
Harriett was the only person in the world who knew that Brad was moonlighting as Friction. She only knew because she caught him wearing the suit when she was 14 and he finally broke down and confessed to her. After years of being the shocking hero, Brad had come to understand the composition of his unique costume, and after Harriett’s pleas he finally agreed to create a second suit and allow her to be his sidekick.
And so it was that Amp was born. Brad and Harriett became legendary as a crime-fighting duo until Brad was paralyzed in a drawn-out fight with the sinister Fourth Reich. By this time Harriett was 18, and Brad deemed her worthy to begin a solo career, and carry the name Friction.
She did so with a heavy heart, but in honor of her uncle, Harriett lit up the streets of Ford City with her bright flashes of electricity in battle against the Fourth Reich. With the help of the Dogs of War, the Fourth Reich was defeated and detained.
This victory got her noticed by the Dynamo Council, and she was asked to join the team.

    Name: Ana Gravin
    Genre: Superhero
    Powers/Special Skills: telekinesis
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: none
    Affiliations: The Impossibles
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: active
    Bio:
The Impossibles are a team of superheroes who immigrated from their home country of Russia recently. They had grown tired of the grayness in the streets, skies, and faces of their country’s people. Each is in his or her late twenties or early thirties, and they quickly found upon arriving in America that they had their work cut out for them. Here, in this highly commercialized, rich land, crime and villainy were abundant, and they knew instantly that they had traveled across the world for a higher purpose. In little time, the Impossibles had become one of the foremost champions for justice in Caligo.

Ana is a headstrong young woman who will not be outstaged by any man. She often refuses help offered to her, believing that if she can’t get something done on her own, she doesn’t need to do it. She is a powerful telekinetic who can lift objects of immense mass and weight with her mind.

Anansi based his name on the trickster hero spider of African legend. He is an incredibly gifted thinker, full of cunning and wit, and prefers to out-think his enemies rather than physically fight them. Name: Hank Barman
    Alias: Anchor
    Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: Able to increase the density of his body exponentially, making him more solid (and thus more durable and resistant to injury), and heavier (and thus harder to move), all while retaining his normal size and shape
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: none
    Affiliations: Power House, Honor Guard
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: active
    Bio:
Hank’s mutant power didn’t manifest itself into he hit puberty. He was no good at sports at that time, but when he would play backyard football with his neighborhood friends, he suddenly became extremely hard to tackle. Hank and his parents finally realized something superhuman was going on when he fell through the floor of his bedroom and onto the kitchen table below.
Unable to cope with a son who could become a metric ton in seconds, Hank’s parents enrolled him in the Power House, where he was able to finish of his secondary education and learn to control his power. During his time there, Hank began to work out heavily, needing a way to still move himself when his arms and legs got heavy. By the time he had graduated from Power House, Hank had turned himself into a muscle-bound hulk, though if he densifies his body to weigh more than about 500 lbs, he’s unable to move.
Hank left Power House and was accepted at Intrepid University, where he received degrees in English Education and Creative Writing. He worked his way through college as a bouncer at a local night club. After graduation, Hank returned to his old school to join the faculty and the super team of Power House, known as the Honor Guard.

    Genre: Mercenary
    Power(s)/Ability(s): uses high-tech underwater suits
Affiliations: anyone willing to pay him
Other Aliases: Octopus, Swordfish, Killer Whale, Devil Ray
    Status: at large
    Bio:
Harland was once a Navy Seal, well-versed in underwater espionage and demolition. To avoid capture, Harland took on various aliases, all aquatic animals, but the one he uses most is Killer Whale. Harland wears a black wetsuit, and attached to his scuba tank is a booster he designed himself, which propels him swiftly through the deep waters of the oceans. Many electronic explosives are magnetically attached to his suit, for easy access and to avoid dropping any.

    Alias: Angstrom
    Real Name: Grady Howell
    Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: body composed of bioelectromagnetic energy; control of electricity and magnetism
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: particle attractor
    Affiliations: none
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: active
    Bio:
Dr. Howell was, in his previous life, a renowned scientist at the Institute for the Development of Energy Alternatives (IDEA), where he was heading a team attempting to harness, manipulate, and use the very bioelectromagnetic energy within living things. Dr. Howell’s intent was to collect this relatively low-level energy, amplify it, and use it to power machinery.

But one day, the actions of an industrial saboteur caused a massive power surge in Dr. Howell’s equipment, and he was bombarded by a barrage of accelerated particles that transformed him into a living cloud of bioelectromagnetic energy. In his newly acquired state, Dr. Howell has a vast control over electricity and magnetism, but his brain has also been altered. He perceives reality in a different manner than normal humans, a manner he believes to be far superior and greatly advanced. Though he is primarily on the side of good, occasionally his perspective leads him to use his powers in destructive or confusing ways. His justification for these strange outbursts is an awareness of a universal stream of events that sometimes require his intervention to manifest into what he calls “the story of time,” which will end in some immense event that he must ensure will happen through his actions.

Usually, Grady is able to maintain his human form through light concentration, but when he is in a particularly stressful situation, that concentration can be broken enough that he will start to come undone. Therefore, he designed and built a device that attracts the particular energy of which he is composed and helps keep him together.

I like Angstrom. His “story of time” angle is unique. I like the long-range view to his motives (cause & effect). It’s along the lines of Confucius, Aristotle… karma, tao, zen… etc. He is most likely the Dr. Fate or Manhattan of your meta-verse.. maybe an Etrigan? Also, great allusion with “Angst” and “Strom.”

Thanks, dude. There is definitely a lot of Dr. Manhattan inspiration in him. However, I wasn’t actually going for word play in his name, it’s just a cool word (an incredibly small unit of length used to express the size of atoms, molecules, etc.)
