The List: Another Top 10 Characters I’d Like To See In The DCEU

So, as promised last week, when I did Another Top 10 Characters I’d Like To See In The MCU, this week I’m focusing on the DCEU and characters I didn’t mention the last time I did a list about who I’d like to see in the DCEU (so no Martian Manhunter, Nightwing, Batgirl or Ocean Master on this list). Problem is, the DCEU is so much harder to do than the MCU, because whilst Marvel have lots of established franchises at this point and TV shows that tie into the cinematic universe, DC only really has the Justice League characters and Suicide Squad whilst keeping their Films and TV Shows completely separate (and there’s that whole aversion to origin stories thing they have). So I’m not going to suggest anything for TV because, honestly, keep the Arrowverse as far away from the DCEU as possible please. With that in mind, here are another 10 characters I’d like to see in the DCEU.

Character Design Challenge #304 – Masterworks

Your challenge this week is to recreate a portion of The Scream by Edvard Munch using HeroMachine. There is no limit on number of entries this week.

Rules for posts, contests, and challenges: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warning. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

All entries must be in JPG or PNG form (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (like the HeroMachine :,ImageShack, PhotoBucket, or whatever);

  • Entries must be made as a comment or comments to this post, containing a link directly to the image and the character name;
  • Please name your filesas [your name]-[character name].[file extension] before you upload it. So DiCicatriz, for instance, would save his “Bayou Belle” character image as DiCicatriz-BayouBelle.png.

2016 Movie Retrospective

I didn’t have enough to do a Top 10 of both Best and Worst, so it’s all being lumped together into one mega-list. So, first Poll Position of the new year. So it needs to be something special right? Well, as this year will see the release of 3 Marvel Cinematic Universe Films and edges us ever closer to Marvels end game of the Infinity War, why not do a poll to find out which MCU film people think is the best, and which is the worst. You can vote for as many films as you want once per day, obviously you can’t add any films because I’ve included all of the current MCU films already so there’s nothing to add.

What Were They Thinking: A Thor Point

So, it’s a new year and as we all know, when there is a new year people often make resolutions as to what positive changes they are going to make over the coming year. And as What Were They Thinking is all about the worst things in the history of comics, I thought a good resolution would be to be more positive, not to focus on the negative so much. Unfortunately, I then remembered that Marvel Comics exist and, as much as I love them, they are the best at being the worst. So, with that in mind, I’d like to talk to you all about equality in comics, through the medium of The Mighty Thor.

So, when I started doing lists last year, the first list I did was a list of the top 10 characters I’d like to see in the MCU or Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, obviously Marvel have a lot of characters that are worthy of bringing to life and one list was never going to be enough to cover it, especially when the first list only looked at characters I’d like to see in the MCU films, not in MCU TV shows or Netflix series. Creators Club Poster 2017 Volunteers?

Hey guys, JR here. As with last year, I’m now looking for someone to do this years Creators Club Poster.

For those of you who aren’t in the know, the Creators Club poster is a community project where one of the members of the community (previously myself, MadJack, Atomic Punk and Hammerknight) have come up with a theme for everyone to follow ( previously we’ve had stuff like Superheroes, Men In Black, Chibi’s and Westerns, with last years theme being Magic), and then people create a self-portrait of themselves fitting to that theme. All of the self-portraits are then sent to the organiser, who then puts them all together in one big poster that showcases the community that year. It’s not a challenge, it’s just a bit of fun, you don’t have to be a Power User to participate, you just have to use the site and follow the submission rules for the poster.

Now, obviously, we’re trying to get new people to do these each year, so if you would like to volunteer and you have an idea for a theme, email it to me at the usual address (it’s in my About section at the bottom of the post). I’m only accepting theme ideas from people who email, not from the comments, so if you have an idea make sure you email it.

I’m accepting theme ideas from today until the Jan 17th, so that’s 2 weeks, and submissions for the poster should open on Feb 1st provided myself and the organiser have everything arranged.

Character Design Challenge #303 – The International Legion for Justice: Phase 3.

Ching Tsu was born in August of 1925 in a remote province of Imperial China. The rumors of the young girl who could control the winds and rains were well known, but most considered her existence a fable at best. She met Major Patriot at a rally welcoming him to Shanghai in 1941, and was inspired to join him as the youngest member of the ILJ.

She named herself Feng Po Po, after the Chinese Goddess of storms

Your challenge this week is to design the costume for Feng Po Po.
