Ok Folks this is how we are going to do things. For the first round I am going to pit all 10 entrants play in entries against each other in a single poll and the top 9 will move on to next weeks poll where once again they will be pitted against each other in a single poll to get the top 8. Once I have it down to 8 I will return to the traditional head to head bracketed tournament format of Friday Night Fights for the final 3 rounds.
[polldaddy poll="7016382"]
Vote for up to 5 entrants Once a Day. Poll closes Thursday April 11th at Noon EDT ( GMT -4 )
( Images After the Jump - Tried to put them on the poll but Polldaddy wasn't playing along with that idea )

I really wanted to participate, but alas I was working on a big project for work up until Wednesday. Good luck to everybody!
Also… I don’t know if the hiding of the identities of the creators of the images was intentional, but if you open the images in a new tab/window the filenames reveal who they pertain to.
Although certain machinists I was able to figure out even without the name. 🙂
Would be interesting to hide the identities so the designs stand on their own. However, DiCicatriz is right. Some HeroMachiners have a very distinct and eye-catching style. Good luck, everyone!
I recommend disabling “View Results” just to add to the drama. ;9
Ouch…
At least I’m not in last place…
I think the hiding the creator idea is a good one, though I miss the character bios – it’d be interesting to find out more about these guys, since they look like they’ve all got stories to tell
Did you not get my entry?

Tool All I got from you was an entry for a single round, I needed all five rounds in by the deadline, and I wanted them all in a single email though with the shortage of entries I would have accepted them piecemeal so long as I got them all by the deadline but since all I got was one character I can not enter it into the contest.
I realize some people treat this as a ‘visual only’ medium, but that just takes away so much! Backstory, if not provided, will still be imagined . . .
OOOOH, sorry, Yeah I had some ideas and a backstory for my characters but I hadnt really even created the others yet. They were/are a work in progress that I was/am having trouble with anyways. Oh well…
She was an Amazonian that was exiled from her tribe for killing a man that was trying to rape her, and it happened to be that he was the High Cleric. She was deemed a blasphemer, but the Cleric had gotten no hate for his actions and he was even given a grand funeral. She vowed to make his spirit pay for her excommunication, so she would travel to the Shrine of Hauret to confront his soul and finish this once and for ALL!
Once known as Les Addams, he is commonly referred to as the Shark; Infamous pirate and scavenger. Addams roams the seas “liberating” technology from military ships and incorporating it into his own systems – his long campaign of piracy has transformed the once humble diving suit into the now hulking mech.
Arriving on the deck of his latest mark, Addams makes light work of the ship’s crew and provides to search the ship for his earnt merit. He’d intercepted a some of the Patrols feed to learn about this score – an armoured freighter manned by members of the Eternal Coil. It must be armoured for a reason, he’d thought. Though now that he was coming up empty, he started to worry. Heading back onto the deck, he approached the closest netted crewmember.
“Where’s your cargo?” Addams demanded. As he shook him, a small disc fell out of his coat. As Addams dropped him to examine the token, it flew up and attached to his chest. His suit surrounded in a blue light, The Shark disappeared.
“For the mistress.”
I gotta say I like The Shark the best…
