HM3: Celtic Knots

Me, Myself, and I ... um, and I ... have finished his prizes for a couple of contest wins, now available in Insignia-Nature:

He requested a strand of Celtic knots to use as a facial tattoo, but after chatting about it, we thought it would be more versatile to break the string into individual bits that can be manually strung together so you can get just the effect you're going for. Here's an example, showing one of each of the knots all lined up:

Because of the way the strands run, to get the colors to work exactly right you might have to flip alternating instances, and then rotate them 180 degrees, to line up properly. Hopefully you'll find them useful.

Hey, where is MMI anyway? Haven’t seen that guy around too much since the holidays.

  2. Jeff Hebert says:

It’s time the truth came out — MMI is actually Santa Claus, and as such has been recuperating since the end of Christmas.

    Myro (1): I didn’t know I would be missed.

I’ve just been working a lot is all. Changing careers while still working in the previous career with an expected time line of about a year of overlap. Its likely to keep me pretty busy but Im sure I’ll stop by whenever I can.

    🙂

Jeff: Thank you Jeff, I think this will work great!

MMI (6): I went geeky fanboy over your designs on more than one occasion, so, yeah, I’m going to notice if you went AWOL for a few weeks. Actually, truth is there are a few regulars here whose posts I tend to look forward to (be it regular entries or character designs), so if they disappear for a while, I do notice. However, I don’t always bring it up, and given that this thread was in regards to your contest prizes, it seemed relevant.
Anyway, try to make it back as often as your schedule allows. I understand that you have career obligations, as do most of us, and you sound like you have more on your plate than I do at the moment.

Wow… this will work great for one of my older pictures as trim on a dress. Thanks to both MMI and Jeff.

The awesomeness of this cannot be overstated. (Well, yeah, it probably could, but anyway). I have a Celtic-themed character (named Celtica as a matter of fact) and knotwork has always been an essential part of her look going back to when I first designed her using HM 2.5. This raises exciting new possibilities for her HM 3 makeover. Thanks to MMI for the suggestion, and thanks to Jeff for the execution. Kewl!

    Lots of possibilities everybody.

    Here’s just one.
