The HM3 Alpha applet has been updated again. The pattern buttons now work, and the problem where you couldn't manually drag items more than halfway to the left and down has been fixed.
You might need to hit REFRESH in your browser to reload the most current version of the applet if you've been there recently.
Edited To Add: Also, I added a "LegwearMaleBriefs" set of starter items so your guys don't have to be nekkid so much. More of those to come, obviously.
I really like the hero machine so far! Can’t wait for it to be finished!
Just one question though.
Will their be categories for the individual parts of the face? Like the nose, eyes, mouth…etc.? Or will there just be pre-generated faces?
Oh, oops, sorry. Didn’t read the other entries on the blog! My bad.
@Jeff: Will HM3 include all the gloves that were in HM2.5, or will we have to figure out some way to make gloves?
Jeff, there is one top that doesn’t seem to want to appear on the figure when you try to load it. I believe it’s the rightmost figure on the bottom row.
you still cant put a pattern on the hands. this was a problem with warrior mini and it should be fixed.
Tristan-
The reason you can’t put a pattern on the hands is because of how the mask feature works on it.
I need to figure out how to get around that hand pattern problem, for sure. It’s on the list.
There will be gloves, but they won’t include the actual hands. Notice that the Hand items include hands in both “nekkid” and gloved configurations, including fingerless and backless gloves. I think doing it this way adds a bit of complexity but also allows a lot more flexibility in terms of posing and all that sort of thing.
A feature I think would be nice is to link to items. Like for a headgear item and the head but without linking the whole body.
First I would like to say how pumped I am for this program.
Secondly is there a way you can allow us to group individual items together so they don’t have to be moved individually? I mean if you build an arm from several pieces can you lock them together so you can move the whole assembly? Sorry if you already include that feature.
@Paul: Glad you’re excited!
Yes, that feature mostly exists, but not exactly like you’re describing. The general groups are things like “All items”, “Body”, “Upper Body”, “Lower Body”, “Right Arm”, “Head”, etc. You can’t manually create groups, they exist as part of the definition of the slot an item happens to be in.
could we get a couple more briefs and a couple less speedos? haha
Any chance that there could be some options for face items other than complete faces? That is one of my favorite things about Hero Machine 2.5 is that you can mix and match faces.
Yes, you will have separate face components just like in 2.5.
Does anyone know where all these items come from? Does the HM3 moderator draw them all himself? They are very impressive if he does…
Yes, I draw them all myself DarkGreymon. And thanks!
