Happy Halloween! In honor of my favorite holiday of the year, I thought Iād look at something in tune with the season. In gaming, there are a great many horror games, but even non-horror games can have scary or creepy moments. So letās pay tribute to some of those today. Remember, Iām talking non-horror games, so no Resident Evil, no Silent Hill, no Dead Space, nothing like that. Iāve also left off Bioshock, as while not exclusively a horror game, has a lot of the same elements of one (man, getting down to Rapture and having a splicer scream and claw trying to get at you in your bathysphereā¦ eep.). Some spoilers, too, as I canāt really talk about stuff that happens in-game without them. Iām not limiting myself to one per game, either, as some games have multiple instances of creepiness.

Before I had gotten sick I had started a series I had planned to keep going at least for a year Ā where I would get a mystery package full of Japanese Candy and snacks once a month and would taste test them for you on video. Well My diabetes getting completely out of control and landing me in the hospital ended that series real quick. Well today on the youtube channel linked to one of the services I use to study Japanese there was a video about Japanese halloween themed candies. Now I can not taste test this stuff for you, but that doesn't mean I can't link you too another video that does, and I have always found Risa ( the host of this video) to be funny and entertaining, so here you go ......................
Now that the video is over, I do have a question for you all. What candy ( Currently or in the past ) is your favorite October/Halloween favorite ? Mine has always been candy corn, I love the stuff though with my diabetes I fear I will not be able to partake of it anymore.

Ok, this week on poll position we're going to try and answer a question of truly cosmic proportions. Which alien race is the greatest in all of fiction. And when we are talking fiction I mean, all of it. The candidates can come from visual media (so TV (both live action and animation)Ā and Film), Audio (radio shows such as A Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy or War Of The Worlds), Print (so Books or Comics) even Video Games. Obviously we are only talking about fictional aliens, so Scientologists are not applicable and neither is Herr D because we're looking at entire races rather than individuals.
