Wow, it’s been a while.

Anyway, here’s a character I’ve been working on for a while, but haven’t gotten around to shading until now. Destroyer.

As usual, right click and click view image to see the full picture.

Also, don’t pay attention to the errors.

Um . . . I WOULD like to have heard Mozart try to compose like Billy Joel.  But only once. The rest of the time I’d want him cranking out his own stuff.

–But yeah, I don’t comment here often because I’m not good at building confidence in others, which is the only thing you’ve seemed short on. Speaking as another unique voice here, I occasionally wish I had more time to give more of my ideas a try. (I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum from you, apparently; my ideas will always be better than my execution, and my idea backlog will probably just keep growing. Nothing for it but to soldier on.)

Might be nice to drape some cornstalks or cornsilk off him, just for effect. Does the murderer BELIEVE he dies the same way or ACTUALLY die the same way? Ergot can explain a lot of things . . . or was that in wheat? I get factoids about grains mixed up ever since I read the King James Bible.
Running girl in short: Great overall , no flaws found (+1), also didnt noticed what you fixed. Any hints? Another Bad Guy in short: Looks truly evil, or at least truly bad, nice! However, the left fist seems to be odd for me. It’s hard to describe this, but i think there is something wrong with it. But it’s premade pose, and also i may be wrong about that hand, so it’s great and wonderful creation anyway (+1)
. . . That . . . does look like a broken left wrist, unless he has unusual flexibility as a power or knack or something. Should be easy to switch out.

It might be interesting to read a non-broody, “#$%^”-it I CAN BE GOOD despite this, full-of-sarcasm and angry chomping-not-biting humor. Like thus:

Chapter 3: Sheer Bloody-minded Bloodying Of Minds

Of course I managed to get out of the brawl without killing anyone, despite their determination to make me kill some of them. Quite a few head trauma were in the E.R. that night, but then, hey! They were pretty obviously brain-damaged ANYWAY … so no net loss. I mean, really, Zika-infant skulls shoulda had space left over with these guys.

The sad part is that I never found out what the second pinhead was talking about. When I found him in the recovery room and unplugged his call button, he was ready to tell me anything I wanted. But the doofus COULDN’T REMEMBER! So much for rescuing THAT bimbo.
I can’t speak for AMS, but to me those pieces are more like lamellar and/or scale armor, and that’s what I intended those to be in my original work. Chain mail would look a bit different: Going for that chainmail look in Heromachine, I’ve used another item, e.g. here. What I do is I mask it onto cloth items from the Tops and Legwear categories, with varying degrees of success.
?? Has anyone tried using various braids from Hair for chainmail texture?

I’m not sure what your goal is there. I would suggest a swarm texture might be alternating layers of star background, nearly transparent layer (2-3%,) 20 or so companion insects, repeat. Probably six rounds or more.

Is the skeleton supposed to be together? Having it lose at least an arm might make it look more real. Having it make an odd gesture with a parted jaw might make it look like it’s performing magic, enabling it to emerge intact. Having it completely covered but for skull, masked arm part and masked opposite leg part would carry the illusion of walking out of it. ‘Continuing’ the other side of the masked limbs four layers deeper would help for realism.

Good luck.
