I'm back. Honestly, at least for a while, I've given up on the superverse. I'll probably come back to it a few years down the line. I have been really getting into D&D lately though, so once I saw the current CDC series, I decided to come back. I missed the first round, but oh well. I don't normally play paladins (I prefer spell-slingers) so I didn't really have a character concept. This character was actually created by a random character generator (at least the basic concept), so here we go. Here is gnome paladin Vorlin Maekkelferce:
The son of a humble jeweler, Vorlin always knew that he wanted to be a hero. Eventually, he got his chance, receiving divine powers from the god of gnomes. He began training as much as he could, trying to master the art of the sword. Now he travels the world, saving and protecting those in need in the name of his god.
Although the god in the backstory is a take on Garl Glittergold, I decided to loosely base the imagery of his outfit on Bahamut, just because that is probably the most iconic paladin imagery.
I do love me a good old ultra greatsword. 😉
Great job
Alaya

Powers: Force Field Projection, Levitation, Minor Telekinesis, Peak Human Agility/ Reflexes
Bio: As a superhero, Alaya wasn't one of the most well known in the business. She was minor league at best and only scrapped with low level supervillains and street thugs. So, when she disappeared, all but a few people just forgot about her. Then she returned and everyone knew about it. Equipped with enhanced powers and a new meaner attitude, Alaya turned her back on her previous heroic ways, deciding that if nobody cared enough about her to notice she was missing, she would make sure that they noticed her now.
Neat! I love what you did with the colors for Magpie. She looks a bit tall for a halfling, but that could be a matter of perspective. Great work, I'd say.
The shield is a bit of an interesting case, as my design had it as a buckler, which is actually worn like this:

That's a very minor difference, though. I can dig this!

Here's the gif of the Paladin process:

And the final image:

Analisse stared at Angelalea’s glowing face, lost in her beauty which outshined even those of purest elven blood. Although the night was still, her blonde hair flowed like water. Her infectious smile caused the corners of Analisse’s stoic mouth to turn slightly upward.
Angelalea’s loveliness was rivaled only by her goodness. Analisse rubbed her scar remembering when the paladin stood over her dying body with tear-stained cheeks. The good knight’s eyes glowed like the sun as she felt warmth fill her failing frame. The kind act almost cost Angelalea her own life and if she could, she would have given her own eye to replace Analisse’s.
“You okay, Analisse?” asked a puzzled Angelalea. The embarrassed fighter gruffed, “Fine,” and wiped her eye. “Da’maj secured the key to the city sewers from the mayor under the guise of getting rid of their giant rat problem. Of course, we know why we’re really entering the stink,” winked the knight. “Don’ give ‘way all ‘r secrets,” sounded a voice like Da’Maj coming out the dark, “th’ night has ears.”
Felt like making another one today.

The Sinner
No story for this one. It's just an image that i had in my head for a while and really wanted to make.
Thank you! I originally had something else in mind for the background but in the end it turned out to be a bit more difficult than i imagined.
Here is my next work:
https://www.deviantart.com/abominal401/art/Heka-842832195
Heka, the undead guardian of the desert.
Heka is said to protect the desert from trespassers. There have been many rumors as to why he protects the desert. The most popular one being that an ancient temple is hidden under the sands, where past inhabitants used to offer many treasures to the Gods. Only one person has survived the desert and lived long enough to warn others of his encounter with what he called, the Scarab of the Sandstorm.
It is said that if you are out in the desert and you're suddenly engulfed by a sandstorm, Heka, Scarab of the Sandstorm, is coming for you . Nobody knows the true identity of Heka, nor why he eternally protects the desert.
Vector

A technology thief with advanced hacking skills and the ability to teleport. Often works alongside Cyber. Vector gets them in and jams up the system security, whilst Cyber goes into the system and takes whatever data they're after.
I've been watching the Lone Wolf and Cub series which inspired me to remake my ronin and reluctant mercenary, Akira Hayazake.

Akira wields the Enma blade, a cursed sword which holds the demonic soul of its original owner and Akira's ancestor, Enma Hayazake. Enma was the shogunate's private assassin and thug, murdering hundreds, mostly innocents, and reveling in the bloodshed. His soul was so twisted that he became one of the few demons born while the body was living. This only gave him more power to do his bloody work. When he died, his demonic soul was trapped in the blade.
Enma possesses anyone who holds the sword, forcing them to spill blood to feed his desires and give him power. Akira, as his descendant, is able to control the blade and keep his mind, though his bloodlust is increased. The sword gives him strength and the ability to control demonic energies. He uses the sword as an assassin and mercenary, though he is still a man of honor, only turning his blade on those who deserve it. He figures this way, less innocent people will have to die thanks to his accursed bloodline.
