Coloring done in Flash this time. I’m slowly getting the hang of it, I think. It’s less flexible than doing it in Photoshop, but much much faster.

As a helpful commenter pointed out (thanks Moneymaker!), the helmet on that dwarf warrior I posted the other day wasn’t quite right. It was bugging me, even though these are supposed to just be relatively quick, non-worked-over sketches, so I fixed it. Updated version after the jump.

Thanks to everyone who voiced their opinion in the Olympian Games’ Tug of War Competition! On behalf of Game-master Hammerknight, I am happy to report the following characters are our winners:
Gold Medal: Team Marvel 1 (The Hulk, Thor, The Thing, She-Hulk, Colossus)
Silver Medal: Team DC 1 (Superman, Superboy Prime, Batman, Wonder Woman, & Captain Marvel)
Bronze Medal: Team Marvel 2 (Galactus, Annihilus, Thanos, Juggernaut, Sentry)
After this, the sixth and final event, the overall medal winner of the First Olympian Games is Marvel with 8, then DC with 6, and Dark Horse with 1.
This concludes this edition of the Games, I want to again thank Hammerknight for coming up with the idea, putting together the contests, and then helping chivvy it all along.
Great job HK, and many thanks to all of you for commenting and voting! If you have ideas for other Big Event contest polls like these, by all means let ’em rip.

Best bud John Hartwell has taken up the challenge and agreed to try doing up a Sketch of the Week every Friday. You can find his artistic postings on Facebook right here every Friday. John has illustrated numerous RPG books for the likes of Iron Crown Enterprises, HERO Games, Steve Jackson Games, and more. He’s a righteous rock-and-roll illustrating stud, so show him some lovin’.
He’s also posted a challenge:
Alright, time for a little geek trivia with the Sketch of the Week. First person to identify this old school Marvel character gets…well…a hearty slap on the back and a bucket o’ geek pride.
(Hint, his dastardly plans were foiled by a certain foursome who are, quite frankly, fantastic.)
And the image is:
