Salvador Blackblood is an alien from another planet. A planet which he had be banished for attempting to take over the planet. Salvador stole enough seeds before he was banished. The seeds which he can grow a new army, but he had to first find a new planet to plant those seeds. After years of searching Salvador comes across earth. Unfortunately the earth is not right to grow his army. He tried to kill the plants and trees, but he ran into earth’s superheroes. Injured and shamed Salvador went into the shadows to recruit people to make his ultimate doomsday machine in order to kill all life on earth. Now his only hope lies within a handful of geeks to help make his ultimate doomsday machine. In order to keep the superheroes of earth from stopping him Salvador grants all the nerds superpowers to help keep the heroes of earth distracted.

I used the ears as a part of the shoulder pads, the top I used as part of his helmet, and the mouth piece I used as strings for his belt.

My entry for the 197th character design contest.

Tower. Frozen magically…somehow…for thousands of years, was a warrior reawakened in a highly advanced future. One reincarnation of many of an ancient soldier destined to defeat an evil being, he uses his legendary sword, Heavenbreaker, and is the strongest being to currently exist, having even sliced a mountain in one blow with his blade.

(P.S. Sorry for all the errors)

My wrists are still not at full health, but I managed to make this, little by little.

This guy is Nicodemus Holt, my character in a game of Warhammer 40 000: Rogue Trader. He is the group’s Arch-Militant (soldier guy), and formerly the bodyguard and body double of his half-brother, the former Seneschal of their ship. Now that his brother got himself killed by the Imperial Inquisition, Nicodemus is finally free from his brother’s shadow and is free to pursue his own ambitions.

Admins are busy people, Mr. Hebert (the Creator *spoken is breathless, reverent tones*) is also very busy, and I don’t think the areas of responsibility amongst the admins include those two types of blog entries/activities, any longer. 🙁

It’s too bad, because I remember reading those, even when I was on my hiatus. It was really cool to see people getting so good with the tool!

In any case, “power user” is ALSO just a simple way to describe people who know how to make the most out of the HM3 tool and create awesome works of art.

Cast has mushroomed. Good stuff. Do you want suggestions for power origin?

Thanks, dude. I have a team of alien/space based heroes still to come, but any advice is always welcome and appreciated! Usually, I choose my heroes’ origins from the following categories for the ‘species’ section of the profile;

  • Human (not super powered, e.g. Batman)
  • Superhuman (any human that gained superpowers during an unusual event or ‘accident’, e.g. The Flash, Hulk, The Fantastic Four)
  • Mutant (any person born with latent superpowers as a result of genetic mutation, e.g. Most of the X-Men)
  • Alien (any species originating in space or on another planet, e.g. Superman, Martian Manhunter, Thor)
  • Cyborg (any person with cybernetic parts, including full androids/robots, e.g. Vision, Cyborg)

I know the descriptions are a bit vague, but I’ll describe the actual event/process that the hero gained his/her powers when I write out their full origin story. If you can think of any categories I’m missing, or any origins for specific characters/powers, I’d love to hear and discuss with you.  [/quote]

Well, there’s the mystic-type origins. Someone who uses magic, but is otherwise normal. Then there’s always the “token of power” origin. Green Lantern(s) all get their rings, the original Thor was empowered through his hammer and couldn’t transform without it (it was disguised as a cane, in his unpowered form), and, of course, He-Man/She-Ra. ;-]
