–Technically you can also have between categories. Wolverine isn’t just a mutant. He was given an adamantium skeleton coating. That might make him an augmented mutant. Artificial augmentation (surgical or suit-wearing) is not cyborg exactly.
Some people like the idea that trauma or repetitive and chronic abuse can ‘bring out’ the supernatural or magical or mystical ‘stuff’ that all of us have deep down. That would fall under human. Dr. Strange supposedly trained and traded for his powers. That’s human with outside augmentation.
There’s also dimensional travel as a source of changing one’s nature.
T-cells from Resident Evil might also be worth checking out.
Let me know–I work with any story that doesn’t involve extreme evil. They get enough press.
Hvidgrandr looks like he’s ready to fight the Xylophonicus Beast, the only reptile to require hits to each of his twenty-one ribs within four seconds to be killed by less than a megaton of explosives. I think your guy’ll win. Interesting works.
Joey Ray was a lab assistant in one of Dr. Megapunchs facilities. He lost both lower legs in a freak accident, but he gained energy projecting powers which he uses to hover in the air or propel him at remarkable speed.
Thank you!
Shocker was one of the first Spiderman villains I ever saw as a child, and I guess his costume stuck with me. I didn’t look at any images of the Marvel character before creating this design, but I did an image search afterwards and was ‘shocked’ at how close I got it.
Of course, it’s mostly down to the ‘fishnet’-like pattern . Looks completely different without it. I did choose the pattern and the design of the mask in tribute to Shocker, but the other similarities (boots, shape of the jacket, the colour orange, etc) are a complete coincidence.
I’m glad you think he looks different enough to be unique, it was a concern. I guess it’s a fine line between tribute/homage and rip-off! 😀
Side note; The main inspiration for his powers comes from another Marvel character; Sebastian Shaw.
Perfect! The edit makes the image much more convincing for me, especially considering the black background. I feel bad for causing you extra effort. 😛
You could definitely have left the original image alone and gotten away with it – as there’s nothing wrong with it at all – but I feel the edit gives a much more ‘realistic’ impression of him emerging from the shadows; makes the sword look extra awesome as the primary light source; and makes the eyes look more menacing, as I’d hoped.
I’d even say that it makes his skin colour/face look creepier, too.
Great job, dude.
The first thing i do is put down an anchor body, the first part you put down will always be in the centrer of the frame.
It is where every thing re centres to, both on export, if you move the view or when you reset movement.
So put down a part body you’re not going to use and give it a bright pink out line.
Here we have what i mean, i want to add in a second person to this pic.

Now i could just try and put them in, but working with them so far out of shot is difficult, so lets move him over.

The pink torso has to stay in the center but we can move the other parts, one at time over to the red body, the blue is where the second person goes.

And here he is in his new home, now on to blue lady.
I like to work in the centre and have an uncluttered view, so the next step is to screen off the rest with a big square from background and create another body.
So theres not much to see but here she is.

Shuffled over and cleaned up.

MADPAC STUDIO’S LOST WORLDS
“Into The Wild” featuring Verdinosa
At Dellacroce Hill, Mana Toba welcomes her friends with open arms and a “I was expecting you” smile. She also wants to leave that place but not with out them. They all agree that’s their goal and a sudden green lightning bolt strikes the ground. Verdinosa greets them warmly and adds “Don’t forget about me.” They all join hands, give each other strength and head for Main Portal, prepare to fight their way out of there.
MADPAC STUDIO’S LOST WORLDS
“Into The Wild” featuring Laminis
Cross and Kobura meet Scavenger, Bladesphere and Laminis, a new ally, at Main Portal. They know, the Scythes supernatural essence has shown them what the others intend to do. They’re ready to stop anyone who tries to leave ZValka.
I like Warhead, especially the name. He is very reminiscent of Maarvel’s Shocker, but he’s sufficiently different looking that he’s still unique. Also, his powers are way different, which helps a lot to distinguish him from the source material that inspired you.
Great work on Brickhouse. 🙂 (but now I’m going to have that song stuck in my head all day…)
