This weeks poll position will visit the topic of party roles. Now this is more aimed towards MMORPG's however the concept is easily applied to pen and paper RPG's also. So here we go which of the following is your preferred role while playing an MMO or P&P RPG?
Tank: tanks redirect enemy attacks or attention toward themselves in order to protect other characters or units. Since this role often requires them to suffer large amounts of damage, they rely on large amounts of vitality or armor, evasiveness and misdirection, or self regeneration. Tanks are often represented as large or heavily armored.
Crowd Control: the crowd control players role is to limit the size of an attacking force via use of powers and abilities that de-buff/debilitate the enemy.
Healer: the healer is a fairly self explanatory role. The healer is responsible for keeping the party alive during combat by healing damage taken or apply bluffs to the party to enhance the parties chance of surviving.
DPS: DPS stands for Damage Per Second, and it is this players role to hand out large amounts of damage in as short a period of time as possible.

This week, I would like you to create a historical character from any point in human history. You can do any time between the Stone Age to World War 2 (preferably no later than WW2 please), anywhere in the world, Renaissance Italy, Ancient Egypt, Feudal Japan, Medieval England or Civil War America, just so long as the character fits the time. No steampunk unfortunately, as that didn't actually happen, but you've got nearly all of human history to play with so surely you can come up with ideas.
One little change this week, my fellow moderator and serial contest winner; djuby shall be guest judging for me this week. I'm sure he will be looking very closely at your costume designs, so make sure they're good.
As per usual, there are no entry limits, the contest will close at 12am Sunday (blog time). Please read the rules before entering, have fun and good luck.
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. As we all know, hindsight is a wonderful thing. And looking back through some questionable decisions made by the big two (I don't really know enough about Dark Horse or Image to comment on them), it seems that one of the biggest problems they have is chasing trends. So, for the next few WWTT's we'll be having a look at the most questionable of these trend chasers (be warned there will be '90's), starting today with the earliest.

Five entries this week - well six actually but the Link led to an error page - so let's call it five. Space Pope was very cool, but I was unable to find the three items anywhere in it. If they are there, I apologize for my "thickness". Of the remaining four, although all very creative and quite funny, I can only pick one winner.
Although I don't particularly understand it...again...kinda thick...this week's winner is...wait for it...Herr D.
