The Gryphon Rider is great. She's shining, shimmering, splendid. Is there a story behind her missing fingers? Gryphon training accident? Also, I dig the simplicity of the Space Fighter flight suit.

Great work, man! Really impressive, and you keep getting even better.

Great costume work, details and absolutely fabulous colors on ReJen, very gritty stuff. The bullet holes look neat and the action pose in the second one tells their story in a cool way. The blood spatters are also well done.

King Solomon has a fantastic pose, it immediately tells a story. I've always been fond of heromachine characters sitting on chairs or thrones, it's not trivial to do and generally looks cool.

I was pondering a little bit about how the Gryphon Rider’s outfit would work in the previous picture I posted, so I painstakingly reconstructed the character in a front-facing view. That’s about all there is to this. This is pretty rough and has no shading, but not everything needs to be so pointlessly detailed.

Mr. Sin. is the half brother and arch nemesis to ReJen. Emile was always finding himself in trouble and and lacking empathy for it. He started to sell illegal products within the black market, ran with a gang, and slowly built his villainy. He was always intelligent and brutal with his actions. As his infamy grew, he also started to be known as a powerful and notorious criminal. He always hungered for more wealth and power.

Emile Foster became the highly feared "Mr. Sin" after a brutal end to a battle between himself and his sister, Jen Foster. Emile was in a shoot out with the NYPD and Rejen stepped in. She didn't want to kill her brother, but rather save him from himself. However, there was no stopping him and while he attempted to hold Rejen hostage, she turned the shotgun he was holding to herself. She managed to get the trigger pulled and the blast went through her body and through half of Emile's face.

While Emile was pronounced dead, there was a catalyst erupting within Emile. He awoke in a body bag in the morgue gasping for air. Parts of blood and DNA from Jen were blown into Emile by the shotgun blast. Since Emile shares partial relation to Jen, it activated his mutated genes of healing, however at a much lower scale and not nearly as powerful. One side of his face is permanently disfigured and heals back the same way he was before the mutation activated. He now became a king pin, a super criminal overlord to New York under the name of Mr. Sin. He desperately wants revenge on his sister and to harvest more of her DNA in hopes to achieve her level of power.

Here's what I'm hoping to submit for the Grand Champion contest if I can color it in time and add some background; however, if I can't, I'll just submit this.

The Tower

I based this of a Birds of Prey cover that I've wanted to reproduce for some time. In case you're not familiar with all the characters, starting from the bottom, Nimu (as Golden Gladiator), The Tempest, Red Bat, and Stellar (magic version). Together they are the Tower.

Good to see that your extended absence hasn’t dulled your skills. Though it would be prefered if your next absence (should there be one) could be somewhat less lengthy. Or, in English: Holy (Explitive), those are amazing! Don’t you ever leave again, you understand!

I missed you Jr;). Thank you for the nice words! I won't fail you again sensei JR

Jade Emperor: Lin Yong Zhou

Many thousands of years ago, in what would later become known a the country of China, Lin Yong Zhou was revered as one of the greatest mortal sorcerers of the ancient world. His magic was so great that some even worshiped him as a god and claimed he had a hand in the creation of the world and the human race. However, Zhou tried to be benevolent and kind with his power. He aided the Four Heavenly Beasts created many of the guardian spirits of nature to help mankind, including the zodiac spirits, who were put in charge of watching over time and the birth of new life. But there was one thing that Zhou's magic could not do, save himself or those he loved from dying. He became more and more bitter as he watched more and more people die from disease and age and he vowed never to let death take him. Given as there was no magic that could halt death indefinately, he turned to the next best thing, using it to steal the lives of others. He claimed the lives of many of the spirits that he had created in his quest for immortality, bringing about the wrath of the Four Heavenly Beasts. But so great was his magic that even the Beasts could not defeat him directly.  However, the Beasts were cunning. They hid the remaining spirits, including the 12 Zodiac Animals, away, far outside of China, in an attempt to wait out Zhou's remaining life. Knowing this, and knowing he has little time remaining, Zhou has become more desperate in his methods. Where he once only stole the lives of those he created, he will now kill any who stand in his way. Even those who serve him are not safe from giving him what little extra life they can offer.
