Character Design Contest ♯118 (Non-Standard) Winner
Well, that was nice. We haven't managed to break the 200 vote mark on one of the contest polls for a while, but this week we did. And unlike the last two polls, it wasn't a major walk-over for our eventual winner, though they did take the win by a noticeable margin. And, if I'm being honest, it was kinda expected (much like last week winner was no surprise) that Carmen's Just As Good As A Spotlight would win this week. Congrats Carmen and well done to all our other entrants.

Open Critique Day #24
Ok, I'm back (for real).
As for how this goes, you post a work of yours, finished or WIP (aka work in process, for those who are new to abbreviations), and then others give you critiques on your work. I do not mind if you post the occasional non-HM picture or piece of writing. Just make sure that you only post pictures that are your own design and not any that copyrighted or based off of copyrighted characters.
Also, if you post a work, it is highly recommended that you also give someone else a critique.

Character Design Contest ♯119- Comic Book Covers 2
Well, here's a challenge we haven't done in a while. I do believe I used this topic for one of the first CDC's I did after I took over from Hammerknight, and it was a good contest (MadJack won as I remember), so let's do it again. It's a simple idea, you have to create your own comic book cover using only Heromachine. It's the actual doing it part that's hard.
Now, as with the last time we did this, there are a few things you MUST include for your entry to be eligible for the contest. These are, a title (so like The Uncanny X-Men) across the top of the cover, a company logo for the company publishing your comic (obviously not Marvel/ DC/ Dark Horse etc. etc. etc. make your own up) and an issue number and date. Those three things have to be included, but the rest is up to you. Good luck.
As per usual, no limits on entries and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Character Design Contest ♯117 (Inspired By Music (Again)) Winner
Okaaaaaaay. Well then. I look away for a week and come back to find my poll has been completely flattened by some manic in a steamroller. Yeah, I know the pic is awesome, but I wasn't expecting it to get double the votes of all the other poll entrants combined, that's taking it a bit far don't you think? But anyway, taking the win this week, for a truly beautiful piece of art, is Thundersong for The Moon Represents My Heart. Congratulations Thundersong and sorry to everyone else who entered that you had to get flattened like that.
