The Secret Lair
When I think of The Joker, the tattooed thug look doesn’t come to mind. If this happens to be akin to a new look(52 for ex.), I’m not familiar with modern joker. Truthfully, I’m not familiar with the Suicide Squad either. I’m all for trying new things, but when it comes to an established character I personally don’t like them changing them too much, they seem to become someone else.(I’ve been guilty of doing the same with public domain characters, so its’ easy to do, tempting to give your own spin to something old, but when its’ released to the masses I’m always a bit disappointed to see this happen)
I don’t think people on here are that sensitive but incase, just to clarify I am not calling people with tattoos thugs
I am not sure I am liking the looks of this Joker…I really wanted the sadistic smile with lip stick and longer hair…narrow chin and all. This guy, like stated above, looks like your average thug in video games or hero cliche. Maybe it’s because he has his shirt off and I’m used to the suit. I also watched the animated film of the Suicide Squad, which I loved, and I was hoping for more that route. I love Jared Leto, so I am going to give it a faithful shot.
AWESOME
Marilyn Manson?
looks like one of jokers Hench-men other then the joker himself
I’m just thanking the gods Joker isn’t wearing make-up the whole make up thing was the only flaw ledger’s joker had.
I can sort of see this. They’re obviously going for an “eccentric rock star” look (the tats, the teeth, the pose, the Michael Jackson-ish glove), which isn’t a bad way to go with a modern interpretation. Lord knows the Joker’s always been pretty loud and flamboyant.
Also, this is for an action movie villain, and I feel like the creepy gentleman Joker wouldn’t really fit in there.
Lose the grill. That’s all I have to say.
