As you can tell, I’ve moved back to the old theme — the new one was woefully underperforming. Sorry for all the changes, but I reckon this one will remain for quite a while, as it’s certainly proven itself to be … superior.

Gonna be a condensed COTW this week unfortunately, due to me being very short on time. But it’s not like there’s a lot that needs to be said about this one anyway, nor is there much that can be said, due to the fact that it is very hard to speak when ones jaw is on the floor. I mean look at how the pose was put together, the masking that makes up the torso is incredible and the same for the helmet. The entire thing just screams action. Job well done.

Ok guys, last week I gave you freedom to pretty much do anything you wanted. This week is going to be much the same. However, you can only use items from one category for your entry. For example, you could only make a picture using items from the Items-Right category, or you could make a picture from items from the Heads category. This should make for some interesting results.
As per usual, no limits on entries and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

Ok, I’m pretty confident there wasn’t any jiggery-pokery going on with this weeks poll. There weren’t any sudden and inexplicable jump in votes for anyone, the leader maintained their lead all week (which might be a bit boring, but I’m fine with it) and it was quite close between some of the other placings. So I’m going to postpone making any changes to the poll format for now. Hopefully last week was just a fluke.
Anyway, the winner of this weeks poll was Cliff for his Mountain Lake. Congrats Cliff and well done to everyone who entered.

Choosing this weeks COTW was hard. Very hard. But I think I made the right choice out of the three I was contemplating. Considering whose art this is, whose characters they are redesigning and the fact that there’s multiple characters in the picture, it is a brilliant example of multiple aspects of character creation on Heromachine. Body shape, costume, facial expression, hair, posing, body language, shading, effects, item usage and masking, all present and more than correct here. All we need now is a background.
