I always have/had trouble w/faces, as the heads always looked a tad too small, and the mouths for the male characters never seemed to fit imo. I didn’t know there were work-arounds like this for m/f heroes, so thanks!

    Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone would take another shot at my characters, and if anyone could take a look at the female and re-imagine her?

Hope everyone in the US had a great thanksgiving holiday!

This is my lady’s first character…I like it. Comments? (She’d only spent 30 min using HM.)Prophette.png

That’s amazing! Thank you so much! I still can’t get any poses to look good, that’s why I’ve been sticking with the front view, like in those Marvel and DC character biography-type books. I’m trying to get the shading down too, but I wish I had more time to get on here. You, and the others here are real talented.

I write more then I draw, so this is a great program for me to learn how to put together characters I try to come up with.

Wow, I didn’t think I’d get an answer this quick. Thanks for the reply!

    Weilyn,

I was thinking either the red helmeted character, or the green. They are both intended to be part of a group of 5 at first, then later on, another. (Red, Green, Black, Yellow, Pink, and another possible – Silver.) I still haven’t figured out what other vehicles and tech they will use, but I thought I’d better get the basic character look down first. I was trying to go with a bird look to the helmets, but not quite like the hawk helmets in headgear. I really like the look of the helmets the pilots wore in the original Battlestar Galactica tv series, but I suppose the ones they have now will have to do.

Anyway, I just thought it would be nice to see what someone who’s got more experience with HM than I have, to see what my character(s) might look like from someone who knows how to use this program more than I do.

Welcome to the forums, sorry for the late welcome.

    Thanks very much!

I’ve got a question for those that read this..Would anyone be interested in re-imagining one of my characters for me? I’m curious to see what others could do with the basic caped hero version I have above. I’ve been on a sentai/MMPR kick lately and wanted to design a character to use as a visual for a story I want to try and write. I’d love to self-publish a small run of a comic someday, but since I don’t draw, I write. Seeing as there are over 35 different teams of sentai/rangers, I’d like to come up with a team like that myself.

This is First Strike, he’s an American martial artist overseas, probably Tokyo, or Hong Kong. The Ankh in his hand glows when there’s danger. (I know, Egyptian, and Asian?) He’s an amateur archeologist as well.

I wanted the above uniform to be the alternate that the group wears when not fighting aliens, robots, and the like.
The helmeted ones with the ‘feathered’ cape are the ‘heroic’ ones.

Here’s another. Does anyone know why I have to open a file when I export it, then copy it, then paste in the file folder I want it to go? Isn’t there an easier way, or if I’m doing something wrong, please let me know.Uniform-A.png

I’m figuring that layering tool out. I’m going to leave the lens flare, etc. lighting until I get the other stuff down.
Does anyone else besides me have a problem with masking things sometimes? I know to mask an item in the hand, and so on. It just seems to take 2 or 3 tries to do it.

Ok, here’s another..I’m having problems getting things to post. I upload at 500×750 for the above pic, it works and this one didn’t. I’m doing something wrong, can someone (besides me) understand where I’m screwing things up? Anyway, hope you like. Comments please.

That’s a great cloak, I like the pose too. That’s not a pose from here, isn’t that custom? I’d like to use it if its custom? I ask ’cause I can’t get these customs to look right to save my life. If it’s not here, its ok.

Still great item and pose though.

    Kaylin,

I apologize if it seems I always ask for your help, but you were one of the first to help out, so I thought I’d try once more and hope I don’t bother you. I remember asking about what the .png was for, but I can’t find the bookmark I made for it. Could you let me know what its for and if can be used to make new chars from them. (again.)

    Sorry, and thanks.
