    Alias: Chronos
    Real Name: George Sullivan
    Genre: Supervillain
Powers/Special Skills: time travel; time manipulation
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: life-sustaining suit
    Affiliations: none
    Other Aliases: The Timekeeper
    Status: presumed dead
    Bio:
As a child, George was given the charge to guard the Clock of Changes by a cosmic being called the Overchron. It gives its possessor the ability to travel forward or backward in time to any era he wishes. At first, the child was pure and steadfast in the keeping of the Clock, but as he got older, the desire to fiddle with time itself became too great. He soon became addicted to traveling through the ages, causing mischief wherever he went. He even learned how to manipulate time into an extremely destructive weapon. In a possible future, Chronos’s descent into villainy prompted the creating of the Clocksmen, a temporal force of time-travelling soldiers tasked with finding and neutralizing Chronos. It was this villain who created a tidal wave in the time stream that wiped out every clocksman except for Countdown, who must now carry on the clocksmen’s mission alone and with revenge as an added motivator. Now, completely warped by his obsession, Chronos aspires to make himself into a virtual god.

During a showdown that spanned several millenia existing simultaneously, Countdown finally confronted and defeated Chronos by destroying the Clock of Changes and leaving George stranded in the year 1,472,908 BC.

George was found nearly dead by a tribe of Neanderthal men and taken into their group. He eventually became one of them and sired a strange, hybrid daughter with one of the Neanderthal women. This little girl would grow to become one of the most catastrophic forces on Earth.

    Alias: Cicada
    Real Name: Jeffrey Tavin
    Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: shape-shifting via skin shedding
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: custom-made knife
    Affiliations: SWARM
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: at large
    Bio:
Suffering from a rare disease, Jeffrey’s skin ages in a day what most people’s age in 30 years. Roughly once every 27 hours, his skin peels off. But what is most surprising is that when his skin sheds, below it is new skin, along with entirely new features. He looks like a completely different person each time. Needless to say, this makes him an ideal “get-in-get-out” kind of criminal. When he signed on with the villainous group the Swarm, he had a wicked-looking dagger crafted for him to slice and dice his enemies.

    Alias: Cinder
    Real Name: Agatha Yearsley
    Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: disintegration by touch (anything nonliving)
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: none
Affiliations: Tomorrow Teens; Dynamos Alpha Red Team
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: active
    Bio:
Agatha was deemed a demon by her Bible-thumping parents when she was born and began destroying objects around their house simply by touching them. They would not touch her for fear of facing the same punishment.

They dropped her off on the doorstep of a local church where a priest found and raised her as his own. He did not share Agatha’s parents’ feelings about her origin, but knew that she was a mutant with a strange gift. The priest taught Agatha to put her life in God’s hands, and to never use her power in greed or anger. Agatha went through a lot of clothes, toys, and other things before she was able to gain control of her disintegration power.

Agatha attended the same school as Johnny Danger, Wallcrawler, White Wolf, Dawn, and Thunderclap, and would with them form the youth superteam the Tomorrow Teens. But the priest discovered this and chastised her, claiming it was blasphemy and an attempt to play God. Agatha was forced to resign from the team. The day she graduated from high school, the priest suffered a heart attack and passed away. Somehow sensing he would die soon, he had slipped a letter into Agatha’s night table. After the funeral, she found it and read his words.

In the letter, the priest admitted he had been wrong about Agatha’s powers, that they had been a gift from God and therefore should not be hidden. With tears in her eyes, Agatha once again went out into the world of superheroes, joining the Dynamos Alpha Red Team and adopting the code name Cinder. She remains strong in her faith in God, and is often seen praying in times of need.

    Alias: Cipher
    Real Name: Leslie Lynn
    Genre: Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: able to learn information instantaneously; eidetic memory; able to perform any action she sees performed
    Affiliations: Citizen’s Hero League
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: depowered
    Bio:
In 2032, the technology-based company PresCorp discovered an amazing thing. By stimulating and manipulating the right genes, they could give a normal person amazing super powers temporarily. The effects lasted for about a week.
To collect as much on this breakthrough as they could, PresCorp created a daughter company called Venture, Inc. Venture offered the process to those who would pay for it (a hefty sum), and then kept them on a compound on an otherwise deserted island. They would create adventures in which these people could use their powers. It was exclusively for the sake of entertainment and profit, letting the rich and influential people of the country live out the fantasy of being a superhero for a short time. Lengthy background checks were performed to ensure that none of the customers would use their powers for evil, as well as a cancellor gate, which would void all powers when passed through.
There was a public outcry scolding Venture for making the experience so expensive and thus only for the wealthy, but no legal action could be carried out.
    But then the demons arrived.
To call them demons is probably a misnomer. They were really just beings from another dimension. They had found a way to cross to our world, and when they saw that we were physically inferior, the invasion began. It soon became clear that the world’s existing heroes were not enough. Therefore, the US military declared martial law over Venture, Inc.
The “hero surgery,” as it was known, suddenly became available to anyone for free, as long as they were willing to volunteer to help battle the armies of beasts. And thus, the Citizens’ League of Heroes was formed. Many different powers were offered, and all were given to these everyday working people. Thousands applied and most were accepted. They were each given a crash course on how to control and use their newfound powers, and then they were sent to the fray. They were divided into teams of ten, each being led by a pre-existing superhero. Makeshift hospitals were set up near the battle lines so that the week long powers could be continued as long as was necessary. They fought until the menace was destroyed. Many died in the battles. The rest returned to their normal, mundane lives, but with the memory of being and doing something extraordinary.

Somewhat of a slow learner in school, Leslie elected to be given the power to absorb and retain vast amounts of information in the blink of an eye. She was able to understand and speak any language (including machine languages), crack codes and puzzles, and pick out and remember minute details within seconds.

Roger was a bit of a wuss his entire life, cursed with an incredibly low pain threshold, so he jumped at the ability to be able to turn into impenetrable rock during which time he could be shot with a bullet and not feel a thing.

    Name: Claw
    Genre: Alien/Superhero
Powers/Special Skills: tiger-like appearance and abilities; retractable claws; leaping great distances; camouflage
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: single-passenger spacecraft
    Affiliations: Tigris race
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: active
    Bio:
The creature who would come to be known as Claw arrived on Earth in the year 2056. He found that despite the fact that the human race had proven itself mostly intolerant of even their own people, he was met with utmost kindness and excitement over the arrival of the an unheard of extraterrestrial. Thanks to Claw’s mission, a bond was formed between the people of Earth and the star system quickly dubbed Tigris. He was called Claw by the Earthlings because his real name could not be adequately pronounced by their vocal chords. Claw spent much time travelling between the two allied races, but his life was turned upside own when, while he was visiting Earth, the Tigris system was wiped out by a cruel, violent race known as the Oktrollians. Suddenly faced without a home, Claw was gladly accepted into Earth’s society and treated like on of their own. With his extensive knowledge of the Oktrollians, Claw helped Earth to defeat them, thus securing himself as a hero for the planet. Like his former race, Claw resembles a humanoid tiger, with retractable claws and the ability to leap great distances and camouflage himself and anything he touches to the point of being virtually invisible.

    Alias: Clay
    Real Name: Clayton Caviness
    Genre: Supervillain
Powers/Special Skills: composed of soft clay that can be shaped into weapons or small creatures
    Special Weapons/Tools/Armor: none
    Affiliations: Dirty Deeds, Inc.
    Other Aliases: none
    Status: at large
    Bio:
Clayton was a small-time crook on a big-time crime spree when the police finally caught up to him while he was robbing a convenience store. A shoot-out ensued, and although Clayton was hit several times, he managed to escape from the store and stagger into the forest behind it. Eventually, exhausted and bleeding to death, he collapsed on the bank of a river, sinking into the soft red clay beneath him and quickly dying…

If the universe had any sense, it would have let him perish.

Instead, as bad luck would have it, a cloud of toxic waste that had been illegally dumped upstream floated by, some of which flowed along with some of the river clay into the open wounds in Clayton’s body. The combination was a perfect storm of DNA restructuring, and Clayton emerged from the river as a sloppy, muddy man made of clay. His wounds filled in and completely healed instantly, and when the policemen chasing him burst into the clearing, Clayton’s new body instinctually liquified into a puddle until they had passed on, none the wiser. His body reformed into a humanoid shape and he made his way to freedom.

You might think that such a miraculous occurrence might change a man’s lease on life. Instead, Clayton found it easier than ever to rob stores and banks, thanks to his incredible power. He never really thought of himself as a villain, but as soon as word of the clay man got out, he was dubbed a super menace by the media.

He was ultimately sought out and recruited by Dirty Deeds, Inc., a group of supercriminals who hired themselves out to commit the crimes other people need done but can’t do themselves.
