Buck was once the owner and sole member of 1-800-I-SAVE-U, an emergency hotline where victims called him to fix their problems, for a price. Most of Buck’s customers were old ladies with lost cats and bored rich housewives. But every now and then Buck would get to face off against a real threat, such as one of Caligo’s hundreds of supervillains. He barely eked out a living, until he heard about the newly formed Association of Superhuman Wrestling, a superhuman-only fighting league. He went to the open audition, and discovered that he could really bring in the dollars in the ASW. Bradley “Brick” Brannigan was the star quarterback and most popular boy in school at Caligo High in the golden age. He had an unexplained hatred for superhumans (probably jealousy), an irony made clear when he discovered that his bookworm sister Bree was in fact a superhero. Brick went on to coach football at Caligo High and is now an old man with 4 ex-wives and a beer gut who still harbors a resentment for all things super. Troy was a brick mason for a small construction company when the neighborhood in which they were building was bombarded by a cloud of the chemical X-13. Because Troy was in physical contact with a pile of bricks, his body assumed the same composition. Now he is extremely durable and super strong. Lazy by nature, Troy became a bank robber simply so he wouldn’t have to do real work to earn money. An X-13 experiment combining heavyweight boxer Nick Legree and a tub of liquid hot magma produced the psychotic villain Brimstone. His body is now hardened, burnt rock, seering to the touch, and he is able to become fluid in order to access tighter spaces. The experiment was performed without Nick’s permission. It has been established that it was not the work of the M.A.C.H.I.N.E. but a much darker organization. It is possible that Brimstone is mentally controlled by this organization to do its evil bidding. Gang member Damien was on death row for the murder of countless people in Caligo. Considered one of the most heartless men in American history, he had no fear of his impending death. But just a weak before he was scheduled to die, Damien was broken out of prison and brought to the secret headquarters of the shady organization known as the Sphinx Foundation. In exchange for his freedom, Damien agreed to undergo a surgery that grafted four large metal spider-like limbs onto his back, and his own body’s physical strength was heightened so as to be able to carry the extra weight.
