Just a collection of doodles today, working on line weight. This is what most of my notes from junior high on through college looked like. Sigh.

Just some studies of Ben Grimm. As you can see, I haven’t quite got it figured out yet, especially the profile view. Fitting the brows in to the head, and understanding how the mouth opening works, are particular challenges, as is the general placement of the brick lines. It’s fun figuring it out, though.

Not feeling it today.

A rejected illustration for a character from Jeff Mejia’s “Legends of Steel” project which I stumbled upon last night and revamped slightly for today. A bit of a cheat, but I did work on it today so it counts!
