Get ready for your pop quiz, kids! Your one-day quick-fire challenge is:
You can make an axe or a sword or a hammer or a chain or anything else that could be used in hand to hand combat. Be creative, mix several different pieces together, and come up with something neat and original.
You only get one entry — that’s right, just one! So make it your best.
Most of the other rules are the same as for a regular contest, but instead of a whole week I’ll announce the winner either tonight or first thing in the morning.
The winner will receive their choice of either one item or one portrait to be included in the final HeroMachine 3 release, or one Sketch of the Day style drawing where you pick the subject and I draw it how I like.

You don’t have to pick one of the stars pictured above, they’re just here to get you inspired. Or whatever the appropriate adjective is. Ahem. Your answer should be a “celebrity” role, not someone you know in real life like the cute librarian or the hunky life guard who’s secretly into “Twilight”.

As for me and my answer to this question … I’m going to go with Lynda Carter, TV’s original Wonder Woman. When she’d come on the screen and do that magic spin, transforming into the metal-brassiered Amazon … wow. For a young nerd in a time before cable OR the Internet, that was pretty much the pinnacle.

I’ve just added Kytana’s prize for winning Character Contest 82 into ItemRight-Miscellaneous:
I had big plans for doing an open version, and then the open version being broken into separate top pieces and bottom pieces, but when I opened the set I realized I’m almost out of room in it. So I had to go with just the closed iteration you see here.

AMS requested some Kirby-like energy effects for the hands, as seen in the recent “Gunner” sketch I did, for his Character Contest 80 prize. It is now available in the “ItemRight-Energy” set in two flavors, one with a clear central area and one with a filled central area. I also dropped in some new spell effect types of rings I’ve been meaning to add. Enjoy!
I tried to set that last one up so it’s kind of like smoke, if you ramp down the transparency and turn off the line color.
