I'm sorry this is late, guys. My computer's been a little flaky.
How this goes: You post a work of yours, finished or WIP, and then others give you critiques on your work. I do not mind if you post non-HM pictures or piece of writing. Just make sure that you only post pictures that are your own design and not any that are copyrighted or based off of copyrighted characters.
Also, if you post a work, it is highly recommended that you also give someone else a critique.
Even this is called Open Critique Day, I allow (even welcome!) for you guys to post and discuss on this for the weekend until 11:59 pm Sunday.
Scrabblers live along the shores of Kaldan’s oceans and feed on the carcasses of sea animals that wash up. They have been known to attack explorers when they sense their rookeries are in danger. An adult male scrabbler weighs about 250 pounds, is three feet tall at the top of the eyestalks, and is approximately 8-10 feet in circumference.

Very cool! I’d recommend not making the thing symmetrical. Also, maybe make the skin a different color. Like, keep the shell (I’m assuming that’s what it is) the same colors, but change the skin, if only a little bit. It’ll, again, make it look more realistic.
I’m not sure whether a color change for the skin is best. It might depend on what color combo you choose.
I would, however, think about shadows of the legs on the rest of the lower part of the body. Having him begin to feed might be a nice touch, too. I would have guessed this was the femme. Those birthing hips, you know.
Birthing hips hahahah. Thanks for all the feedback! Workin’ on a 2.0
Are you guys working on anything right now?

@dreadyacht the goat-legged cyborg might need a bigger piece attaching his left leg to his hip as well as a neck. I do like the open air guts 🙂 I LOVE the alien hippie, but where’s the bong, man!?
What about my 3/4 view of blind mage?

I like the pose and detailing on the Blind Mage. I assume the energy in his hand is throwing off some light, so I think it looks weird with the shadow in front of him instead of behind him. When I make illustrations I try to keep a mental picture of where all the light in the illustration is coming from, so I can add shadows, glimmers, details, etc. where they look realistic and believable. Otherwise looks good 🙂

It’s a WIP. I haven’t had much experience with backgrounds in HM3, maybe I’ll give it a try.
Dear MR. smellville, what do you mean bigger piece? P.S. the coastal scrabbler is so COOL! It looks like something from Spore (2008) and Flanimals (Spode knows when)!
Oh, I see what he means. The piece connecting his left (on our right) leg to the hip is too small, and so is the price connecting his neck to his head. Just make those a little bigger.
