R.I.P Mr Nimoy, you lived long and prospered, and were a legend both to Trekkies and non-Trekkies alike.

A great loss, not only to Sci-Fi, but to all the world. Mr. Nimoy was an actor, producer, director, writer, photographer, singer, and all around nice guy. I don’t think I remember him saying a bad word about anyone. Ever! He made a career out of playing the outsider, and what an outsider you were Mr. Spock. Loved and admired by millions he surelly lived long and prospered.

Kudos on a worthy life sir. You shall be remembered.

In case you want ro read up a little on his life:
Leonard Nimoy by the NY Times

Truly sad news. Such a defining character and from what i’ve heard genuinely a nice guy. He will always be mister spock in my mind and shall be sorely missed. πŸ™

  3. Trekkie says:

I admit I cried when I heard the news. A very sad loss, and I still almost can’t believe it. He’ll be sorely missed, and my condolences to his friends and family

(this is MY character Salif, not an official copywritten one)

  5. Herr D says:

I weep green tears for him. So many people would be better off trying to live like the most famous character he depicted.

  6. djuby says:

Was fortunate enough to have met and worked with him. A true gentleman.

  7. Outcast says:

Goodbye Spock you were a logical douche

  8. CantDraw says:

I’m not one to get too upset when an actor dies but Leonard Nimoy is a little different. At an early age, I identified with the outsider alien who looked at the universe differently than those around him. His character has certainly enriched my life, and realizing that I’ll no longer see his raised eyebrow makes my eyes well up. Mr. Spock, our lives are more prosperous for knowing you and your memory will live long in this world.

2015 is very sad. The great man died. Leonard is the Mr.Spock forever.
    A contest about Leonard Nimoy/spock ? please.

  10. JR19759 says:

@Spacemarshall51- Unfortunately, that’s not possible, due to copyright laws. We don’t wanna get sued after all.

  11. WillyPete says:

    Sorry to see him go…
And utterly aghast that the membership of Westboro Baptist are (allegedly) planning to attend the funeral, in their usual manner.
Of course, there’s already talk of seeing him off with a Klingon Honor Guard, just in case they DO show up! I’d like to own the Pay per View Rights to THAT little scene! πŸ˜‰
    So, who’s that leave? Sulu, Chekhov, and Nurse Chapel? {Sigh!}

  12. JR19759 says:

@WillyPete- Are those (many many words redacted for reasons of decency) really planning to do that stupid (more redacted words) at his funeral?! WHAT THE (more redacting again)!!!!! WHY? For Gods sake. Shame there’s not going to be any actual real Klingons in attendance, they would be ideal for sorting out those… people, yeah lets go with that word, saves me having to censor myself again.
Incase people haven’t noticed, I really don’t like the Westboro Baptist Church.

  13. Richard Symons says:

Yes, Leonard Nimoy was always my most favorite actor. I loved him as a family member. He was very special. He will certainly always be remembered. We will always love you and miss you!

  14. Worf says:

@JR: Anyone that has an inkling of regards for those people is a F***tard! Also I don’t doubt their ability to be such douches and show up at the funeral. Fortunatelly, most of the times they have tried to protest lately they have gotten at least twice as many people protecting the event and/or protesting against the WBC, so much so that they look stupid in comparison. I’m also sure my fellow trekers and my fellow klingons will show up in force and the WBC’s only choice will be to flee with their tails between their legs.
