HM3: A few new body parts

I updated BodyMaleStandard for the HeroMachine 3 Alpha with a few new body parts just now:

newbodybits

They are a better forearm held across the body; arms extended straight out from the sides; crossed arms; a different set of arms held like the hands are on the hips; a new "show off your guns" flexed arm; some slightly different "one foot forward" legs; a pudgier torso; the flexed arm from the Zombie set; and a fitted skeleton. Hope you find them useful.

Ah, cool. I’ve updated my “Beleth” accordingly. Do you plan to rescale the other Zombie bodies?

  2. Hammerknight says:

I like the add-ons. Just my luck you put them on after I finished making the other ones work. 🙂

  3. Merrick says:

Things just keep getting better and better. Love the updates jeff keep them comeing.

  4. Worf says:

Yeah… NOW you give me this??? I suppose next you’ll draw some legs that are crossed and to the side??? or a 45 degree side view of a torso??? just to make all my twisting and turning useless.

Ok little rant over. I kid. these are great. Thanks Jeff. 😀

  5. tristan says:

Finally a skeleton that fits. WHOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO

  6. tristan says:

Will all these parts be in the female pose as well?

  7. Timespike says:

    Aw, SWEET!

  8. tristan says:

is there going to be skeleton hands without skin hanging off them?

  9. Jeff Hebert says:

I should probably do skeleton hands and feet, yeah. I also need to remove the feet from the Body parts since I’ve added Feet as a separate slot after drawing them. Which would include the skeleton feet.

Yes Tristan, all of these body positions will be translated to the female. This is a prime example of why I don’t want to do those until I have all the parts nailed down for the male, it’s going to keep changing and I don’t want to have to coordinate across multiple instances.

  10. Cavalier says:

The fitted skeleton will be appreciated. My son loves to make skeletal warriors. I second the request for fleshless hands.

  11. Jeff Hebert says:

@Eric: I haven’t really decided about the rest of the Zombie body parts.

  12. Sentinel says:

Request for a top from Modern Day Warrior – second panel of tops – top row – second item

The jacket with the trim and ‘V’ pattern

Thanks for you consideration of this request.

  13. Tim says:

Ow Jeff, Thank you so much! I’ve been trying to position the arms and forearms correctly to make a convincing crossed arm position and now I don’t have to! 🙂 Thank you!

This is probably too early to ask, but when you begin the female poses, will there be different “body types”? Like full grown busty and petite body types?

  14. thejay says:

i’d like to put an emphasis on tim’s last remark. female poses are important stuff. i suggest a whole set of different breasts to be separate from the body (sick, chauvinistic – yet necessary).

  15. Jeff Hebert says:

I do think different chests will be important for females, yes.

  16. Dan Gonzalez says:

I like the different poses for the arms and legs, but I find if you use any but the basic full torso the hands and feet no longer fit, even if you move and twist them about. Is there going to be a different set of hands and feet available with the new arm and leg positions?

  17. Jeff Hebert says:

I am planning on at least one new pair of hands. In terms of feet, I just posted two basic ones for the “flying legs”. If there are specific hand positions you want, holler.

  18. Eric says:

I’d like one with the fingers down and the palm away from the viewer.

  19. Eric says:

And maybe one with the palm towards the viewer.

  20. StrangezThingez says:

Hmm… we have a standard body, a pudgier body, why not a thinner, less muscular body for characters that are not based on strength, or for a character that is closer to civilian than superhero?

  21. Jeff Hebert says:

You can scale the body to be pretty much whatever dimension you want. If you want a thinner guy, scale it smaller. If you want some basic body parts with much much less muscle definition I can add those, but again, there will be no inherent item support for them — you’ll have to scale and mask them in to fit.

  22. StrangezThingez says:

Yeah, I wanted some parts perhaps with less muscle definition, but if it’s not that convenient/logical, then I guess I can be fine without it. And since you’re probably pretty busy with other parts, I hope I’m not coming across as naggy or picky or anything.

Keep up with the great work, though. I’m loving the Alpha. So many ways to mess around with it. 🙂

  23. Pyrate Hyena says:

now that there is a whole skeleton body we definitly need the different body parts (arms, legs, torso) to make skeletons look interesting.

please consider this a friendly but needed request
