HM3: The write stuff

I just uploaded a new set, "Fonts-Standard", to the HeroMachine Alpha. You now have 21 fonts to use to type in your character name, add a number to a jersey, etc.

The file is very large, 720KB, so be warned. Fonts don't come cheap. You can only apply the line color, the text you type doesn't change automatically as you change from font to font, and it's a little funky to move (the letters get all highlighted and you have to click back in the text field to make it stop).

Down the road, if this is a popular addition, I can add some logic that does at least some of that missing functionality. But for now it's a nice way to add text in to your creation without having to know another Paint program.

But, but, paint programs are part of the fun!

Weirdness: When cycling through the fonts, one loses what was originally typed. Makes it kinda hard to match for the proper look-and-feel.

That would be the “the text you type doesn’t change automatically as you change from font to font” part :-p

Andemas, I can be a pissy jerk from time to time online, it would be terribly unfair of me to hold it against other people if they do the same on occasion. Not that you have, because you haven’t, but if I ever do take anything that way just flip me the bird and keep on keepin’ on, it ain’t nothin’ but a thing.
