With thanks to Damien for reminding me it needed work, I've reorganized the color swatch layout for the HM3 Alpha. They're now in Roy G. Biv order, except for browns and skin tones after, and grayscale before.
You'll note that the last four rows look awfully similar. I'm open to suggestions for replacement colors to take up at least one of those four rows (which are basically repeats of the skin tones). I do want probably a whole row of browns in addition to the skin tones, for leather and such. But that leaves a lot of others to fill.
Yes, but the program has curiously disapeared !
@Fabien and everyone else: You need to have an item in the workspace first.
@Jeff: Thank you for Hero Machine in every incarnation. Also I liked the HM 2.x color layout with columns of a similar color RGB and grey scale at the top it seems to be the standard in other similar apps. But you are the creator, so the Final Decision is yours.
Disposition of the colors following the spectrum is a good idea.
Another thing. Why do you don’t dispose the slot names in alphabetical order ? It would be more practical.
I reckon I can go back to the HM2 color palette if you guys want.
I can also reorder the list of slots, I haven’t decided for sure on that yet. Currently they’re in stack order, so similar items will appear next to each other. I thought people would look for the Hair next to the Head next to the Eyes etc. but I don’t know that it’s really working out that way.
I like the new palette just fine, especially since the HM2 palette IS ALREADY INCLUDED IN IT. Jeez guys, come on…
MUCH better. Thanks, Jeff. I can pick complimentary shades better now.
@Imp: you misunderstand I meant columns of similar colors
Jeff, when do we get footwear?
Just, when i create somthing, it’s driving me up the wall!
Come on, man. And, BTW, you owe me one…
I’m actually working on footwear as we speak. Should be up in the next day or two.
