Mini tops

I've been working on the first batch of "Tops" for the Warrior Mini. Let me know what you think, other ones you want to see, etc. etc. Note that "camo" will be one of the "patterns" you can apply to anything. That won't be totally satisfactory, as you won't be able to color the camo pattern itself, but hopefully it'll work out. If not I'll add some variations of these that have integrated camo with color areas.

I really like the 3rd and 4th on the third row down. Arey you going to put some diffrent bullet proof vest in or perhaps the metal skull armor thats in HM 2.5?

  2. Joshua says:

Jeff, I know I’m running the risk of copyright infringement, but is there anyway we could get a “Dark Knight” style of armor? It wouldn’t have to be entirely identical, but in the vein of so to speak. Also, how about your run-of-the-mill dress shirt? Perfect for cops, F.B.I/C.I.A, or (…ahem) WW2-era soldiers (…as an undershirt.). And speaking of WW2, anyway we could get a M-1941 field jacket? That is asking quite a bit, but– believe you me– it would be very appreciated (…though it doesn’t quite fit with the whole “modern” warrior motif, I know.).

These look Great, can’t wait to see what they look like combined with the various shoulder pads and & Epauliere to come.

I’d like to see the armor piece from HM2.5 Overshirt Expansion one Page 2 bottom Left corner. its similar to what you have here in the sample photo 3rd row center, but I like the angular design of the 2.5 one as well as the fact that it covers part of the arms also plus it seems more metallic then the one here.

Oh, that one — yeah, I like that one too. I’ll bring it over and/or use yours.

these look great. could you please design a bullet proof vest with hole wear the bullets have hit it?

  7. tris.xmen says:

while i think of it r u going to keep the catorgory.

  8. Jeff Hebert says:

I like the bullet holes idea, Tris. Not sure what you meant by that last comment, though …

  9. Kaldath says:

I think ,, and I could be wrong ,, but I think he means the various HM2.x categories .. Undershirt, Overshirt, Coat, Leggings, over leggings, pants, etc

  10. Jeff Hebert says:

Ah, gotcha. If that’s the case, then the answer is, probably both yes and no. There will be fewer overall categories (which I am calling Slots in the new lingo), but each will cover more sorts of items. For instance, instead of Undershirts and Overshirts and Coats, you’ll just have “Tops”. To make getting just the right sorts of Tops, like in HM2.x you’ll have sub-sets of items (I call them genres in 2.x), so you would have Tops-Undershirts and Tops-Overshirts and Tops-Coats and Tops-ModernMilitary and Tops-Straps, etc.

With the ability to put more than one item in a given slot, the need for lots of different slots/categories is removed, and you get away from the aggravation of wanting two different Undershirts but not being able to have them.

  11. Jeff Hebert says:

Appending to that last comment, I haven’t quite worked out how to handle the movable arms and legs and still have all the items that cover them match. For instance, a long-sleeved dress shirt can’t all live in the same slot, because what if you rotate the forearm to be pointing up?

I need to think through all that … probably I am going to have to separate long-sleeved shirts into three pieces (torso, upper arm, lower arm), which is going to be a pain for the user to put together. Maybe some sort of “Match items” feature or something …

You’ll get a small taste of this in the Warrior Mini, as with the Tops I have piece-parts (just a tie, just long sleeves, etc.) that you can put together to make a custom sort of larger item.

Mark did some of that in the Expansion with his pieces, and I think it works. It’s just more of a burden on you the user.

  12. Kaldath says:

Cool I figured there wouldn’t be the need for some many “slots” now with the ability to have as many of any one slot as you please.

    How about a tactical vest?

I have some links I wanted to share for military and modern tops and such, but each time I try to submit my comment with them, it doesn’t show. Is there a line limit I’m exceding?

  15. Jeff Hebert says:

I’m not sure, MontanaPlayer, I can’t find a setting for that in WordPress, but I’m not super-expert with it or anything. Send them to me directly via afdstudios at gmail.com if you prefer.
