Robot Hand

Per request from AMS, a new relaxed robot hand is now live in HandRight-Standard:

newrobothand

It’s basically one of the items from Gloves with the glove part removed. Thanks to dblade for the original hand pose.

  1. As much as I would like to take credit, I believe that was Mad Jack’s original hand pose.

  2. I just come to signal a bug. The “belle epoque” hat has disappeared from modern headgear.

  3. I can’t investigate it until I get home but I can get some preliminary questions out of the way. Do you recall what preview panel and row the belle epoque hat was on? (Example: 2nd panel, third row, 3rd from left)

Is the button blank or is there another hat image in its place?

  4. I don’t remind the place of the hat in the line and column. But i’ve seen few item of the military set wich they are in the modern. I’m sure they don’t here in the origin.

  5. Hmmm…I see an issue in Headgear-Fantasy. The preview buttons are shifted over two spaces. Once I get home I’ll check it out and fix (unless somebody beats me to it). I wonder if the belle époque hat was in the fantasy section rather than modern. Just speculating without cold hard facts.

  6. @FRM: “yes!” as in “That robot hand is awesome and I’ve only dreamed of a day that I could behold such awesomeness” or “yes!” as in “I recall that the belle epoque hat was in the fantasy set and you may be on to something, Daryl. I guess you didn’t waste your money on college after all.”

  7. The robot hand is pretty awesome.

  8. Whoa! Thanks Jeff. Didn’t think you build it so fast. This hand is actually from one of your companion items in the program. The one that looks like Wildfire from LSH. So cool!

Sorry guys, I’ve been out all day doing fun stuff like talking to accountants and having another grown man fondle my testicles. The wonders of getting older are many and glorious.

I just shifted the Headgear-Fantasy set over to the 0 point, republished, and pushed the new file to the server.

Glad you like it! Holler if there are any problems with it.

  11. Basically when anything is awesome I think “I bet dblade did that.” Thus my fact-checking leaves quite a bit to be desired.

  12. Whaaaat? Hopefully your doctor’s (I presume) hands didn’t look like the picture above. Yikes…!

  13. In the fourth panel of headgear modern les three first items of line 2 and 3 are copies of items from masks or military. I think the ” belle epoque” hat was in this zone. I’ve dont spot another disappearance in the category. But it’s possible one has escaped to my gaze.

  14. Hmmm…There are some crossovers between categories so this isn’t necessarily a mistake. I think the only way to investigate is to go directly to the Flash set files and see if the belle epoque is hiding anywhere within. What would be really helpful is if someone who used the asset in one of their pieces came forward and described what happens when they open up the old file. If it has been replaced by another image with the exact same file name within the set (HeadgearModern-33 for instance) I believe the other image would show up in the piece instead. Unfortunately I am not the originator of the image so this is all speculation. I’ll look around tonight.

  15. There is a hat on panel 7 of Headgear Fantasy that looks a little belle epoque. Is this by chance the hat you speak of?

  16. I spoke about the female hat with flowers.
