HM3: Companions-Humanoid

While rifling through old directories on the hard drive for a separate UGO request, I realized I have an awful lot of old drawings in Flash that could be used in HeroMachine 3. So I put together a "Companions-Humanoids" set for you:

I would imagine some of these can have other items applied to them for further customization, or you can just leave them as-is. For instance, with just a little positioning and scaling and layering you could do this "Charlie's Angels" remix:

Some of these are prizes from back when you got a custom illustration; if one is yours and you don't want it in HM3, just let me know.

Mr Hebert, the Studio just called. They have approved your redesign and have the green light.

Speaking of which: everyone seen the cover of Entertainment Weekly yet?

  4. Kaldath says:

Hey Jeff, Feel Free to use the individual characters from my FNF prize as companions also.

I here just did steampunk – a panorama, it was useful. Thanks!

  6. Jeff Hebert says:

Kyle, not that I don’t appreciate the work, but I’m pretty sure I am aware of the illustrations I myself have done …

    @Jeff: i like the Companions-Humanoids illustrations and
i know i didn’t get an illustration for a prize:
but i think you could add on more then those ones
    and i agree with Kaldath.

  9. Jeff Hebert says:

Kyle, I understand that, but since I am the one who drew them in the first place, and I am also the one who posted them in the locations you are now collecting and re-posting, and since I am the one who actually already has a directory full of them, I am saying that you’re kind of wasting your time posting the links. I know what the illustrations are and where to get them; having you re-post something I originally posted isn’t helpful.

It IS helpful when I’m asking for suggestions for new items that haven’t been done before, because in those cases I can use the reference to draw the item in question. But in this case, I already not only have the items, but you are sending me a reference to myself, of something I originally did.

So to be more direct, you’re kind of spinning your wheels here to no good effect … If I wanted to put those in, I would’ve, since I already have them. But I don’t. So I didn’t.

sorry about that must of miss read it.
it didn’t hit me that im wasting own time
    sorry about that again.

i thought this was a request form ,my bad,
you could have said this is all im making and that’s it.

but while was looking through the category i notice there’s a big gape on the 2nd page and i thought you might need some idea to fill it in.

but the other links are not your illustrations you made!

what kind of suggestions are you looking for?
should I post illustrations from different websites like devintart or photo-shop, etc

so i think i shouldn’t put my request for ideas in the near future for new items then

and once more sorry for im sorry that im wasting my type

  11. kyle says:

ok you want ideas: alien pilot, pirate crocodile,
    ghost pirate,goblin,witch,pirate,viking,Anubis,

  12. kyle says:

i know you drew them and i still think you should add on to the 16 you already have

  13. Jeff Hebert says:

Actually I wasn’t looking for ideas — if I am asking for suggestions I usually explicitly say so in a dedicated post for it — but thanks for the links, if I come back and revisit the set it may be helpful to have them all in one place.

So yeah, this set is done for now.

  14. kyle says:

    how about a space cowboy,cow girl, a clown,inmate, goblin,vampire,

  15. Legatus says:

Jeff, I cannot thank you enough. The human companions are suit me great, because I am in the middle of creting lots of giants from Norse mythology and I like to add in a second character for size comparison. With the new set of companions I’ll save time and nerves.

here’s an example of my current work.

  16. kyle says:

@Jeff: thanks for the clear up , i understand now.
when you as for suggestions put do not use any former illustrations that you have saved, comes in great help for looking for ideas

your welcome, the links is my idea to add ( just my opinion)

that would be a good idea: keep all in one place

whats the next thing you going to be working on?

  17. Me, Myself & I says:

I suspect you meant for the patterns to not stop just before the shoulders.

  18. Jeff Hebert says:

MMI, that’s an artifact of the way patterning is done in the app itself, and something that’ll have to be addressed come rewrite time. It happens on a lot of the larger items, and is due to the fact that the pattern object is a specific size. I just need to make those larger, but then that eats up memory, so I need to figure out a way to make them cover more area without crashing the app.

  19. Me, Myself & I says:

Ah I see. Thank you for the info.

Jeff is that the vampirate you made me as a prize a long time back? omg yay!!!
