Since I guess this isn’t really ‘The Road to Comic-Con’ anymore, I guess this will do as a title. But, just because the con is off, doesn’t mean we aren’t going to finish what we started! So let’s have a look at our progress (including the first fully finished piece!). Image heavy post ahead.
Ok guys, it’s time for another caption contest. This week I want you to come up with the best replacement caption for this panel:

Everyone can have a maximum of 3 entries, entries must be in by next Wednesday (Aug 15th) and All Entries Must Be PG-13

So first of all, I have to thank all the creators that came out to play over the past 14 weeks or so. You continually surprise me with your creativity and talent. So now we are down to the last challenge: to design a logo and come up with a name for both the team of heroes and the team of villains. If you decide to enter you must enter all four segments (2 logos and 2 names). Also, one person might not win it all. There could be as many as 4 winners
The prize for winning…or being one of the winners….will be a hero or villain based on you and designed by me to add to the existing roster of 7 members per team.
Please follow the instructions below regarding the naming of entries.
Enter as often as you like!
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. Please keep all submissions PG13: full or partial nudity is prohibited. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warning. Only post characters that have been created solely using Hero Machine, and that you know for certain have never been entered in a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.
All entries must be in JPG or PNG form (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (like the HeroMachine :,ImageShack, Deviant Art or whatever);Do not use Photobucket.
Please make the link go directly to the image (like this) and not to a hosting jump page (like this).
This contest will close at noon Eastern on Monday, August 13th.

Ok guys, last week I asked you all to come up with the best replacement dialogue you could for this comic panel:

And your top 5 are:
Treasure Hunter: Christian and Hugh got a little too close when shooting The Prestige…
Azukanwar: Ping? Spang? Vip? Snikt? Who is making all of these sounds? They are distracting me!
Rekulhs Nathe: This is what happens… When I cosplay.
MurrImAButterfly: This is what happens when you don’t get me a Snickers, Dave!
Katmir: Amalgam Comics – Because rehashed reboots are redundant.
And the winner is….

Hey everyone! I know I said I’d be back with a review for Godzilla, and I will get that out. However, work has been quite busy this week and then we got the news dropped on us that our con, for which we’ve been working our butts off (as you’ve seen) to get ready for, has been ‘postponed until 2019’ with no other information other than that. So, needless to say we’ve all been in a bit of a funk of disappointment since. I haven’t even watched all the SDCC trailers and news yet. So, instead we’re going to have a look at some fun things. The premise of this contest is that over the next number of weeks we will build a team of superheroes and a team of villains. Each week I will supply you with a role, name, or list of powers of one of the team members and you will use HM3 to create the character. The winner each week will win a version of their character created on HM by yours truly.
Your challenge this week is to design and name the 7th and final member of the villain squad. His name is James Cox, and he is a 35 year old male. While he has no superpowers to speak of, he is incredibly intelligent, is a master of trickery. a relentless practical joker, and is a bit of a wise-ass. He refers to himself as his team’s “Fan Favourite”. As a result, even his fellow villains don’t particularly like him. Be sure to check out the costume colours of the past winners in the links posted below before deciding on the colours for your entry.

We have a lot to get to today, so buckle up! Here we go!
First, I need to address the elephant in the room. The gorgeous elephant in the room…
Anansi by Christi S. It is a stunning piece of work, that in my opinion elevates HM to a new level. It does not belong in a CDC, it deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame. So if Jeff, JR or Kaldath are reading this, please consider this beautiful piece of work for admission into the HM Hall of Fame.
Many of you upped your back story game this week. No one more so than Calvary Red. The story of young Tanaka Hikari’s journey to becoming Amaterasu is detailed and quite riveting. Well done you!
Runner Up this week goes to Yin for Athena.
The pose and highlighting are very well done. My only negative is that the costume seems a bit disjointed. But overall, very well done.
And the win this week goes to…
