🙂
Thanks, now i really should get this story gathered up a little.
(Theses a bit of art out of order im still working on)
You got any ideas for a title?
I know the story’s mostly focused around MacGuffin, Sapphira inherated, so its a chase with lots of start ships and laser guns.
Anime Exploration: Angel Cop- this rondo of blood raps up with all parties (except two) dead.
Fun, hard watch but fun!

Like most of the “Outcasts” in The Watchman’s Hideaway, Thomas Nailer has not had an easy life so far. His mother died when he was very young and his father was a violently abusive drunk. It took a while for his superhuman nature to show, and even when it did it wasn’t the easiest thing. Able to summon and psychically communicate with an otherworldly humanoid creature, when this ability first maifested its self, Tommy (to put it mildly) freaked out. However, when it bacame apparent that the creature would not harm him, Tommy began to become comfortable around it, eventually deciding to give it a name befitting of its intimidating look. He settled on Deathclaw (he was 11 at the time). And then Deathclaw started to cause problems. Specifically for people who caused Tommy problems. This all came to a head when Tommy’s father, back home after a night of heavy drinking, decided to endulge in his favourite non-alcohol related past-time, child abuse. Deathclaw manifested in the middle of the scuffle and in the confusion, Tommy was thrown down the stairs by his father, taking an awkward landing and heavily damaging his spine. Suffice to say Daddy ended up in much, much worse condition. Deathclaw (with Tommy’s guidance) managed to get the boy to a nearby hospital, although the staff where unsure of how to deal with the giant rage monster. Fortunately they were able to opperate on Tommy once Deathclaw had dematerialised, but the damage had already been done. Tommy does have some use on his legs, but walking is agonising and he prefers to use a wheelchair. The incident left him very jaded and he dropped in and out of foster homes for the next 7-8 years, with Deathclaw becoming more and more dangerous the worse Tommy’s attitude became. Fortunately, during this time he was befreinded by another struggling superhuman, Danielle Radon, who introduced Tommy to Carl Barrett, The Watchman. Though sceptical at first, Tommy came to like Barrett, the first adult who Tommy felt didn’t look at him as purely a cripple who needs pity.

Elsapeth – Dryad
My character Elsapeth reimagined as a dryad. Mostly a pose test to see how well I could make her emerge from the tree. I really like how it came out. On a side note I also wanted to experiment with a new hair color on her. Went for that maple leaf red and I think I prefer it over the blonde.
Wow. Spring has sprung. No entries. EXTENSION! 4/23/18 2PM EST due tbj 8pm.
Same entries with a hint: the bldgs sideways with a small x value are interesting . . .

Once a famous superhero back before the explosion in the superhuman population, Carl Barrett utilised a mystical lantern that allows him to control light and to teleport through beams of light to become The Watchman. However, his superhero career was cut short when he was blinded by his archnemesis, Nightstalker. Unable to fully control the power of the lantern without his sight, Barrett was forced to retire. However, he was unable to fully settle back into civilian life and set about trying to find a protogee, whom he could mentor and mold into the next great superhero. And it was during this period that Barrett came across some of the less fortunate members of the superhuman community, those with abilities that made them abnormal or dangerous in society. Meeting these people changed Barretts outlook on his mission and he became dedicated to assisting these outcasts, setting up the Hideaway as a place to protect them from society (and in some cases society from them).
Clever and funny. Nice! I also like your use of color in this one, the whole image looks nice and clean.
Working on a new villain squad…kinda in the vein of DC’s Suicide Squad or Marvel’s Thunderbolts. Villains all, who have been forced into service for missions both secret and incredibly dangerous. I’m calling them “the Sentence”…5 of the most dangerous and lethal people on the planet. This is their leader in the field…Virgil, known as “the Chair”. Virgil is a walking super conductor, able to control electricity, but not able to generate it. The pack he where’s on his back is a compact, high-capacity battery linked to two regulators on his gloves which helps him focus the electrical current he can run through his body. Although he stands at only 4’10, he is one of the most ruthless, brilliant, and dangerous people on the planet. The only person he cares about is a younger, mentally handicapped brother named Zeke, who lives in a very expensive and well run assisted living home in their home state of Florida. As long as the government takes care of Zeke and lets Virgil visit him from time to time, he will plan the missions and lead “the Sentence” in the field. I give you, Virgil “the Chair” Spencer!!!
Tamrith – human paladin of the ancients (again)
As I am shockingly getting close to running out of D&D characters to depict (I only have around 20 of them), my thoughts turned to the campaigns I’m playing and contemplating what scenes from the game would make for good art if we had an army of fanartists like certain popular online games do. Sadly we are not blessed with actual artists who care about our game, so I’m the best we’ve got. But fortunately I find it enjoyable to think back through the various scenes that have been significant to my characters, and I can only try to do justice to some of them with my limited skills.
I was inspired to start with a more comical scene featuring my paladin, complete with an anime-esque style for the supporting characters. That was an interesting experiment, and posing is a whole lot easier when everything is in silhouette and you don’t have to care about matching up lines. I really like how the faces came out given the exaggerated style.
Putting Tamrith together was much more challenging, and a lot of that felt like the different elements just didn’t want to come together properly. I’d say the nuances of facial expression are an area where HeroMachine’s capabilities fall far short of what a traditional artist could do. If you want something beyond a fierce snarl or a goofy smile or maybe a smug smirk, you’re going to have a tough time. Or maybe I just need to study the minutiae of facial anatomy to know exactly what to do with the proportions and positioning of the different facial elements to create the expression I’m after. I did a bit of that with this shot, trying to replicate the actual beleaguered face I was making in character. I think it ended up okay, but dang did I spend a lot of time trying to get everything to not look derpy. The hair was also way more work than it needed to be for something that was just “Tam has her hair down.”
Anyway it’s done and I enjoy it and the goofy anime maids crack me up.

Our weary adventurers were given a post-battle respite in a swanky mansion owned by a new acquaintance, and while the cleric princess (who is actually a princess) enjoyed being luxuriously pampered in the next room, rough-and-tumble Tam endured being assaulted by the overzealous maids and their arsenal of bath-and-body implements. She did not find it an enjoyable experience, although the next morning she did admit to feeling “weirdly soft.”
