Man, I really wish I was half as good at making scenes for my characters as you are. I don’t even bother with backgrounds but you do them so well. The characters themselves are even better though. 🙂

As cool as the cards are, I can’t help but think these characters would be great in a video game. Something Final Fantasy-esque maybe?

I like the idea of Mitosis man being his own army with ranks and everything. I have a character (Replay) with the same power and he was a spec-ops team for the government.
Also, maybe the fourth guy is taking the photo?

Here’s a character I actually made quite a while ago but never bothered to post here because I didn’t really think it was good enough. Looking at it now, I suppose it’s not my worst work so I’ll let you guys decide.
Georgia Dillon has the remarkable ability to turn anything she touches to gold. She provides a service to those who can afford it by converting items into gold and charging only a fraction of what the newly golden item would be worth. What she fails to tell any of her clients, however, is that the things to turns to gold don’t stay gold. Of course she’s usually long gone by the time this happens, taking her clients money with her.
Georgia is a master con-artist but she has made more than a few enemies due to her deceit and has even earned the nickname “Gold Digger”. It’s a name that she hates but she would never allow anyone to see her annoyance. Gold Digger or not, Georgia always keeps her cool and she will need that attitude when the growing list of the people she has scammed come looking for their money.

Mitosis Man: Due to a lab accident, Franklin Jones now has the ability to split himself into two men, identical to each other and to the original in every way, and those can also separate (they are often used as expendable foot soldiers. Also, the original Mitosis Man hasn’t technically existed since the first time he used his powers. There is, however, one who serves as the leader of the Mitosis Men clones until his death. Different ranks wear different uniforms. Gold is command, blue is officers, red is foot soldiers, and grey serve various non-combat functions.
In the future, those who are not killed will work as the staff aboard the space station which serves as the headquarters of the Intergalactic Alliance of Superheroes, an organization originally created by the Warrior (as the Alliance of Superheroes) to train and coordinate superheroes (there are many who operate independently for one reason or another). They also help superheroes who are low on funds. At the moment, the Alliance has yet to build their space station, and is still headed by the Warrior.
Note: I realize that, given that his name is Mitosis Man, the number in the picture should be an exponent of two. I simply wasn’t thinking at the time.

Thank you very much, RobM and Lady Amaranth. Coming from you, the color compliment means a lot, considering your amazing colors.
I’ve been trying out new color ideas for a while. Using different line colors so that the thick black lines don’t seem quite so distracting, for one. Another thing I’ve been messing with is using unusual highlight colors. Highlighting whites with purples or browns, skin colors with reds, gray metals with blues and purples, browns and reds with yellows, etc. Light just interacts with materials in such interesting ways.
These are not new designs, per se, but I made some more custom Magic The Gathering cards based on some of my characters. Also made a few quick backgrounds for them.
