Character Design Contest āÆ125 (TGT) Winner
Well, we haven't had this name mentioned in the contest winners segment for quite a while now. I suppose that's what you get when you are more sporadic with your contest entrances. But either way, I'm surprised that it's been over 40 contests since his last win. Anyway, this weeks winner isĀ djuby for hisĀ Wild West Saloon Girl Hover Bot. Character Of The Week: Zyp- Work In Progress
I don't think that we've ever featured a w.i.p on Character Of The Week before But then, this is one of Zyp's works in progress, so you already know the level of quality we're talking about here. Just look at the shading. That's gone beyond Zyping (his own technique), it's even gone beyond Jeimuzu's cell-shading technique. It's quite honestly one of the most incredible things I've seen on heromachine and is a testament to what you can do by thinking outside the box with this program.

Character Design Contest āÆ126- Contest Again
Ok, I'm gonna try something a bit out there this week. One of the main rules I ask people to follow for these contests is do not enter something you have entered into a previous contest. However, this week I am actively encouraging you to, if not break the rule, certainly bend it into new and interesting shapes.
What I want you to do is find one of your old contest entries and redo it. It can be from any contest (apart from the previous two contests, they're too recent), not just ones I've run, but from Jeff or HammerKnights contests as well. Just make sure you include the original for comparison, I want to see how much everyone has improved.
As per usual, no limits on entries and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPGās or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you arenāt certain, donāt enter it, because Iām not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

Pop Quiz – Jurassic Mash Up – Winner!
First of all, I have to send a big thank you out to those who took the time to enter. The Pop Quiz has been MIA for a while, but I hope to rectify that. Check the Blog for future editions cuz you never know what day it will be or how long you will have.
First up...Cliff.
Just fantastic! Wonderful use of items, and I love the water effect you got. On a side note I have to address Ty...brilliant and so well done, but the challenge of a Pop Quiz is what you can create within the given deadline. Please know that there was a lot of love for Ty from this guy.
Next - Geno
Eerily reptilian and a masterful use of disparate items to create a truly epic creature. This guy has attitude!
And finally - Nug
Great use of items - the eyes are so expressive, the tusks are very cool and the way you addressed the body and stance of the creature - and the impending threat - is stellar.
All three are very creative and beautifully rendered, but I have to give the win to Geno. You created a dino-nightmare! Well done, and again, thanks to all who entered.

The plot of Jurassic World (which I am just a little too excited about)Ā ā beyond screaming and running for your life ā revolves around the danger of creating genetically modified dinosaurs. Well I love danger!
In honor of Jurassic World, your Pop Quiz Challenge is to create aĀ one of a kind dinosaur. Ohā¦and just to make it more dangerous, you cannot use any of the dinosaurs in the āItemsā - āCompanionsā list in any way. Everything else is fair game.
There is no prize. There is no poll. The winner is chosen by me.
You only get one entry so be creative, and above all else, have fun! All entries must be in JPG or PNG formĀ (BMPs are too big), posted to a publicly accessible website (likeĀ the HeroMachine forums,ImageShack,Ā PhotoBucket, or whatever);
