I’m revive this thread with some Einstein-esque hair to match the mustache. Also, I tried to duplicate Mitch’s buzzsaw hand as closely as possible since he didn’t include the text he used, and I’m labelling mine as 17th, assuming Mitch’s addition was 16th. Hope that works.

Ooh, I love Fury. I tried to do the same kind of effect for the pop quiz a week or two ago when we were supposed to color one of the companions, but I couldn’t get it to work. Excellent work and a striking image!

I used these parts to make a Goth Prom dress. Hope her date doesn’t get too close!

*insignia and zombie head were used for her hair decoration and the weapon thing was used twice on the dress – the shoulder pieces, part of the waist area decorations, and the chains from shoulders to waist.

    Thanks y’all!

I have a few different things to post today:

    1. “Dancing in the Moonlight”

Just for fun. Not totally satisfied with the arms up above their heads – they look too long and stretched out to me. But that was as good as I could get it.

    2. “Lightning Bug”

I started this one a while ago to play around with some fun items and practice shading. I think I’m pretty happy with where it’s at now, so here it is.

    3. “Goth Prom”

An entry for this week’s OPMC contest.

    4. Lesedi Dambe Fight pose

My entry for CDC #127. This is Lesedi, the twin brother of Nkechinyere – I posted about her a few weeks ago (I like this skin tone better than the one I had used in her picture). Anyways, this is a pose with him in a dambe fight (dambe is a West African form of boxing).

You’ve had some great stuff lately! I’m sad Ty’s been disqualified from two contests now – I really like him.

The “Robot Flower of Love”. <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>Robots need love too!</span>

The arm piece was used for the petals, the one-shoulder bag thing for the leaves and the other bag thing is used to make the yellow center part of the flower.

Thanks HermanSmellville and Yin! I don’t have a fully fleshed out story for Nkechinyere yet. I originally started using Heromachine because I was creating a game using RPGMaker and I wanted some portraits of the characters, but that project is on hold now because of a computer crash. The concept for the game is the somewhat typical RPG story of “someone from a small village becomes a hero and saves the world”, but it’s based on cultural elements and mythology from various African cultures rather than the more common medieval Europe-like setting for that kind of game.

Anyways, here’s what I have so far for her story: the world is in danger because Aido Hwedo, the Rainbow Serpent (http://www.blackdrago.com/fame/aidohwedo.htm), is running out of food – when he has no more food, he eats his own tail and then the world will fall into the ocean. Nkechinyere’s village serves as guardians of the entrance to the tunnel to reach Aido Hwedo and bring him more food. So Nkechinyere, her twin brother Lesedi, and their other companions set out to acquire the magical objects that they need to make the talismans that will allow them to reach Aido Hwedo under the earth and the oceans.
