Herr DParticipantI could really see him as a bit part on Farscape or Babylon 5.

SulemanParticipant
Man, I would kill to get to work on Farscape in any form.
I tweaked the design a little more since I wasn’t satisfied with the initial look. Had to darken the tones a little bit to match the WH40k aesthetic, among other things.
In addition, here are the brothers side by side for comparison.

DiCicatrizParticipantIncredible detail on these guys. Nice!

TrekkieParticipantThey look great! I agree with DiCicatriz- love the details!

SulemanParticipantThanks, DiCatriz and Trekkie!
Warhammer 40k character designs are notorious for being full of details and over-the-top. I couldn’t bring myself to add quite as much nonsense as some WH40k designs have, though I tried.
For example, a character from the Rogue Trader sourcebook:

VampyristParticipantBoth brothers are fantastic. As others have said, the details really give them character.

SulemanParticipant
This is just an attempt at making a character wag their finger.

SulemanParticipant
Here is Stocky Businessman With An Emo Haircut, original character do not steal.
Honestly, this started out as just an attempt at making a design with a stocky bodytype. It went to a weird place. I don’t think the attempt was terribly succesful. I tried getting his belly across with shading, but it didn’t quite work. It would have been easier if he was facing directly forward.
March 14, 2017 at 5:34 pm #143448
TrekkieParticipantI think it worked out pretty well- I can definitely see what you tried to do with the belly. Maybe you could do some masking with the jacket to make it look like it’s following the shape of his body? And maybe some shading under the bottom of the jacket would make it look less like it’s sitting flat against his body?
March 14, 2017 at 6:21 pm #143449
SulemanParticipantThe problem is, suit jackets hang fairly straight down when they’re open.
Here’s some examples:

The suit would have to be closed for it to follow the body shape. So I kind of shot myself in the foot when I chose the outfit. Lessons learned!
I might try adding the shadow below the bottom of the jacket, though, thanks for reminding me.

SulemanParticipantOnce again, I’m feeling the itch to create, but lacking in inspiration. Would any of you be interested in some art trades again?
March 19, 2017 at 8:38 pm #144538
Funkmachine7ParticipantYes i’m up for art trades.
March 20, 2017 at 8:33 pm #144557
Funkmachine7ParticipantThat really good, so do have anything in particular you’ll like me to take a stab at?
Or should i just pick some thing at random?
March 21, 2017 at 1:54 am #144558
SulemanParticipantI’m curious to see which one you will pick. Maybe don’t go for the really ancient superhero stuff, other than that it’s up to you. I’ve got all my stuff on Deviantart.
Anyone else up for an art trade?
March 21, 2017 at 3:16 pm #144559
Funkmachine7ParticipantAnd my part of the Art trade.

“Now next the villages will pay there tax in full.”
“Good let this burn to be a warning to others.”Yep it’s my take on the Imperial Soldiers
